 The afternoon sun lingered over head. All of the creatures skittered about and looked for a spot to stay warm, as a cool Fall breeze blew through. The trees had begun changing color and losing their leaves, making them look old and fragile, but anyone knew better than to think something like that.
White claws padded across the soft ground and it seemed . . . rants could be heard. It sounded more like the large creature was fighting with herself. Again. Evangeline shook her head from side to side. Others deemed her crazy, as she was usually caught talking to herself. Today was like no other, as she was locked in another fight with her other side.
". . . You know nothing of me! Sometimes I wish I had never touched that rock. My mother was right about the crystal, it was nothing but evil -" Eve was cut off, as Nukpana intterupted. Well darling, the power drew you to me. Now you have what you've always wanted, you're powerful enough to cause havoc. So go create some chaos. Nukpana twisted the dragoness' thoughts, planting her own in Eve's mind. "No. You listen to me. You've gotten your way too many times, and guess what? I'm not slipping again, I won't. It's not good. Already others think I'm crazy, I don't need to be seen as a murderer."Here you mean. In other parts of the Isle you are known as the Dark Killer, as I love killing at night. Or that is, you do, Nuke hissed and snickered. Eve said nothing, as she knew Nuke was right. She was known as a killer in the other parts of the Island, but here no one knew. Not yet, and she wanted it kept that way.

 After wandering around alone for a few days, Snowflake found herself with that familiar empty feeling growing in her chest. It was getting closer and closer to her favorite time of year, cool winds had become more frequent. Yet, with no one to share it with, the happy feeling seemed hollow. Her mind went back to the day she'd met Evangeline. She was so curious about Snow's powers and had the most interesting spirit sharing her body. But that alone was not what she remembered. It was the sweet innocent way the dragoness had gazed at the ice crystals as they formed from water around her.
Though hearing her arguing with her other half surprised her, Snowflake padded closer until she could nose Eve's side in a greeting, her snow drifts cascading down over them both. "Hello Evangeline...A pleasure to see you again...How are you..?" She then pulled away and faced her, smiling sweetly.

Eve felt a calm wash over her and silence the monster inside. It was as if Nuke had frozen over and receeded from her attempts to influence the dragoness. For a moment nothing but a sweet, crisp air surrounded Eve and it then she felt a nose in her side.
Turning around, she saw a familiar snowy lioness. "Snowflake! It's wonderful to see you too! Again!" Eve added the last word a few seconds later. She greeted with a smile and kind tone, her tail swayed back and forth in excitement. "You look lovely as always! How has the Autumn days treated you?"

Snow could sense a sweet change in the air around Eve when the purple dragoness saw her. It made her smile brighter than ever. A new kind of happiness filled her chest as she made snow flakes drift over them both. "Thank you...so do you Eve..." Blushes softly as she continues. "It's getting cooler...I love that...and the changing leaves...I love this season too...what about you..?"

Eve smiled and enjoyed the cool wind that surrounded them. She watched the snow flakes as they fell, with peaked interest. Seeing the white powder never got old. "The colors are amazing. In the mountains there aren't many trees, so this is one of the first times in a long time I've seen so many colors at once! The weather is perfect too, I prefer winter and fall over summer," Eve moved her nose about in an odd fashion. A snowflake had decided to take up residence and made her sneeze. "Oh excuse me. So what have you been up to?"

"Bless you..!" Giggles as she watches Eve sneeze. "Too many snowflakes...? I can send less out..." Brushes clumps of snow off of Eve's fur, giggling more as one lands on her own nose. Huffs at it to knock it off. "I've just been travelling around a little...I really have nothing to do..."

"Thank you," Eve shook her head slightly and smiled. "They're fine really! I love them, they're so beautiful and fascinating!" Her tail shook a few clumps off, as she giggled with Snow. The snow that landed on her fur made her pelt sparkle in the autumn sun, it was an amazing sight to see! She'd never seen anything like it before. "The snow compliments you wonderfully! It makes you sparkley." She moved to catch a snowflake in her claws and awed at the ornate design, "You have nothing to do? Well don't you have any little ones?" Other lionesses she'd met before either had cubs or nieces and nephews, so they were always busy.
