Thank you very much for considering joining the Team Dark clan. Just need a moment of your time to cover the rules of the clan.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not join this clan. By joining this clan, you agree that...
1. As per standard guild rules, your actions must follow the Gaia ToS and Rules/Guidelines. The difference is that violations cannot be handled by the Gaia moderators, instead they must be reported to a moderator of this clan. If the violator IS a moderator, then the issue must be reported to the clan's Vice Captain (I usually just say VC), or the clan's Captain (that be me!). Generally speaking, if the Captain is the one playing up (not that *I* would be), well then, and ONLY then, must you tell a Gaia Moderator.
2. If you break any rules, I give you 3 warnings. After the third warning, and you get caught again, you will get demoted as a warning, or, if your rank is already Member, then you will get banned. Every time, you will be notified. If you get banned, your notification will say how long your ban will last, including whether or not it's permanent. If you commit yourself to any really minor crimes, and haven't been cautioned yet, you may simply get a lecture instead of an official warning. For really major crimes, you can be demoted, banned or fined straight away, even if you haven't been booked before.
3. You must treat your superiors with respect. You can get penalized if you don't follow this. If there is ANY question about ANY conflict, report it to a clan moderator.
4. A clan moderator is someone whose rank is Crew or higher.
5. Racism or discrimination of ANY kind is strictly forbidden, and there is a zero-tolerance policy on this. You can face severe penalties if you don't follow this rule, including immediate suspension or expulsion from the clan, even if you haven't been booked before.
6. Spamming is to be restricted to the Spam Arena subforum ONLY, and spam found anywhere else is a bookable offence.
7. If you make 3 forum posts (not including spam) or donate 500 gold to the clan, you will have made it clear that you are interested in supporting the clan, and we will thank you by promoting you to crew. Be aware that there are special rules which apply to this.
When you get promoted to Crew, you then take on the important role of clan moderator. And then you have a couple more rules to follow.
By becoming a moderator, you understand that...
1. If you are chosen to handle a dispute, you must handle it without any serious aggression on your part.
2. If you are chosen to handle a dispute, you must handle it without any serious aggression on your part. This is such an important rule that I thought I'd write it twice!
3. You must not take sides at any time.
4. You *must* ALWAYS help people, no matter who it is. We can't have you going, "******** you, I'm not helping you, you're a b***h, I don't like you!" If a person is being very rude, they can be booked for it. Just don't be rude back, or else you will get in trouble, and the rude person will be allowed to walk.
5. If you are unsure of what to do, you can always speak with me or the VC.
6. If you book anyone, make sure you tell me first so I can confirm it.
7. As a moderator you must show model behaviour at all times. Failure to do this can cause you to have your place as a moderator revoked.
Whatever your status, if you break the rules, and have already been cautioned 3 times, you may choose to pay a fine to the clan account instead of taking a ban or demotion, if the option is available. However, be aware that fines are hefty and can be as large as 20 grand, and as small as 5 grand. Fines must be paid within 72 hours. If you are not online for that time, your time starts on your next login, after which you will be demoted or banned if you haven't paid (even if you sign off again), or if you opt to take the demote/ban penalty. I will know when you paid the fine by looking at the clan history. If your payment is a little late, that's OK. Be aware that some infringement penalties may not have fines as an option. Fines will always be optional. Your fines will not be wasted. As they are going into the clan account, they will be used to fund the clan for future announcements and extra forum pages.
