Taji walked up to the familiar shop, her eyes looking at the door with uncertainty. It had been a while since she had met with Mara, and wondered how the girl was doing. Their last rendezvous in the woods left their relationship in an uncertain status, but nevertheless, she found herself entering the girl's home. "Mara?" she called, on guard with her powers ready. This shop wasn't an ordinary shop, after all.

Twas another usual day for Mara. She was laying upside down on her bed, wearing only stockings and reading a book on Quantum Mana Manipulation. It was interesting in that textbook sort of way.
A screen composed of water droplets materialized out of thin air right above her head. It chimed and showed an overhead view of Taji entering the shop calling her name. Mara smiled and snapped her fingers, teleporting Taji to her room.

Taji let out a surprised yelp, but then settled down as she saw Mara. Her cheeks flushed with heat at the sight of the girl, in only her stockings. "Well then," she started, clearing her throat in that obvious kind of way, "it's been quite a while."

"It truly has," Mara said, moving towards Taji. "What have you been up to?"

Taji smiled softly, gently extending her arms in an offering way, as if silently questioning if the girl would accept a hug. "I haven't been doing much; my mother has been keeping me busy. I've been attending meetings with a... oh, what are they called...? Counsellor," she chuckled. "And you, Mara-chan?"

Mara accepted the hug, giving her a big one. "Not much," she replied. "Mostly being bored and lazing around."

"Ah, well, at least you're taking care of yourself," Taji giggled. She looked around the girl's room, smiling at her once again, somewhat feeling shy.
