With the darkness of the surface world providing the perfect setting for the move, the circus was packing up it's things in a well orchestrated attack. Drow as far as the eye could see were hard at work performing tasks that only the expertly trained could do in so little time. Even the ever unaccomplished fortune teller had her belongings packed into elaborate trunks outside her wagon, waiting for the help to arrive. She sat on the tail gate, tiny feet propped up on a stack of trunks as a crisp breeze blew past her. It did her soul good to hear her jewelry making such a fuss, and yet, it was so close to blowing her hood away. Rylzyr clasped the lower ends, coddling her crystal ball in her lap like an infant.
Only once in a full moon did she rely on Vierace to assist her. Normally she would use whatever trickery and bad fortunes she could concoct to escape the act, but what needed to be done was done. It wasn't that he did a bad job. In fact, he was a very dedicated worker when one could look over his shoulder and make sure he was doing the work himself instead of pawning it off on another poor sap.
She'd be damned if he stole another broach, though. Last time he was here he'd 'lost' three broaches, an enchanted pendant and the staff of a very prominent necromancer, all the spoils of her readings and priceless artifacts she could never get back. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that he'd hawked it off to the first person who had shown interest in them for a steep price, no matter their actual worth!
Rylzyr valued her personal space with her entire being. If it hadn't been for the Matron asking her to open her door to Vierace, he'd be packing his bags from place to place on his back like a damned mule. Speaking of, where was he? The seer looked about and huffed. Late. What a useless man.

Vierace smiled contentedly as he held up the last knife. Near the light of a fading fire the silver blade gleamed as perfectly as the others. With a graceful flick of his fingers the drow tossed the blade and as it danced its way back into his hands, Vierace tucked the knife into its proper place on his belt.
Orange-red orbs surveyed the darkness of the surface world. What was it that attracted the raiders and those others to this place? A small slip of a breeze brushed his long silver hair from his face, ah that was nice. Maybe this surface world had a couple of good things, like those whistling winds he loved so.
Shaking his head the drow realized he was wasting precious packing time. Not like he had much of his own anyways...most of it fit into three medium trunks. He should know, he had packed his own things already. Unlike that fortune teller Vierace knew the meaning of light travel. It was about that time that he once again realized that Rylzyr was probably waiting on him.
"She's probably thinking me useless again." He murmured with some amusement before standing. Soon he was running through the shadows and towards that wagon. Climbing with ease Vierace walked quietly across the wagon's top so he could peer down at Rylzyr. "Think you've got enough trunks there?" He asked with a small frown as he noted the stack.

Rylzyr tilted her head up childishly, her hood slipping back to reveal her voluptuous hair. She tsked. "Not nearly enough. If I had my way, every one of my artifacts would be coming with me, but as such I'm forced to deliver half my wares to partners in the west." She brushed some hair away from the jewel adorning her forehead before grasping the end of her cloak.
This was always the hardest part. Were she not so frail, the dismount with heavy cloth, jewelry and a mystical object would not have been as challenging. As it was she looked like an old woman hobbling down her trunks to the ground. "Get down here already before I turn you into a drider." Of course, she had no magic. Not the kind to transform, at least, but Vierace didn't know that. "I don't understand your obsession with heights. What if you fell? I am no healer and I would be more apt to leave your useless hide where you land."
She looked up at him, her crimson eyes seeking out his orange. They always bothered her, those eyes. She'd told the fortune's of a drow with eyes like that, but none held as much life within as his. It was almost like he was trying to defeat fate. Foolish, arrogant twit. Why, he probably didn't even realize it!

Vierace faintly grinned before shaking his head. "If you had your way, Rylzyr, I'd be afraid." The words were said lightly right before the drow jumped down from his perch.
He wouldn't mind having to trade off. That kept coins jingling in his money pouch and helped others who needed the object. It's better then just having them collect dust. Vierace remarked silently to himself as he brushed dirt from his pants.
"I'm down, I'm down." Vierace moved quickly to one of the trunks. He didn't appreciate the threat of magic. Nasty business that stuff was. Artifacts were tricky enough to steal, but then magic always has to tangle up his-
Vierace blinked and stared at Rylzyr, "Me fall?" Such a thought! All of his life heights had been his way about the cities. Just thinking of fearing heights made the drow chuckle. "You'd be surprised at my amazing balance. Don't worry, even I can see my future enough to know that heights won't be my cause of death." Not like he really knew that, but the drow wasn't going to back down from that gaze.
The look in her crimson eyes nearly unsettled him. Something in her gaze was looking forward. Vierace took a breath calming himself. This wasn't the time to let that fortune teller give him shivers. His gaze averted, Vierace looked to the trunks. "So which trunk first hmm?"

Rylzyr scoffed. The wind picked up again, causing her to loose her balance and clutch the edge of the wagon, clutching at the cloth over her heart. Curse the surface world! She'd be glad when she made it back to her homeland.
Pulling back her sleeves with Geisha like grace, the seer grasped the handles of a small trunk and hoisted it up onto the tail end. She grunted and pressed her face against it to shove it on into the wagon. Moving was so difficult for her. It left her bones aching a fortnight after the work and her visions seemed to dull. Not that she minded the last bit. It was nice to get peace and quiet every once in a while.
"Take the gilded black, then the rumpsack to the right. I'm already aware that you'll break vase within the crate, so I choose to twist fate and warn you. It's my favorite, you know." She hobbled back up into the wagon. It wouldn't do for her to break a sweat when she had Vierace to do that for her. No, she would organize while he did the manual labor. "Hmmm....hand me your things first. I need to visualize the space."

He didn't even think about it. Seeing her lose balance had made Vierace move. Though he didn't have his arms outstretched or anything it was still obvious that the drow had moved to catch Rylzyr in case she had fallen. Luckily she didn't.
"Aye, aye." He grinned though as he moved back to the stack of items. "Favorite? Does it mean it's expensive or rare?" He called out teasingly before lifting up one of his own meager trunks.
"Trust me, the visualizing will be taken up with your load." Vierace sighed loudly, "I think you try to kill me with all this, fortune teller." With grace Vierace placed his three trunks one after another into the wagon and jumped back down to Rylzyr's stack.
"The gilded black first?" He asked even though he was already carrying it towards her.

Rylxrya wasn't blind. Despite his general mistakes, Vierace had her safety at heart and she appreciated it. Lloth would smile upon him someday when he decided to forsake his damned theivary. "Hush your tongue, male!" She peered around the side to watch him warily. "There not for your hands to touch."
She took his trunk in her arms to try and lift it. Her elbow popped. Moaning, the seeress settled in dragging it to the back. "I only carry precious items, though most hold no value to you." Meaning that what she kept couldn't be sold. The ones that could already added to the lump in her coin purse. With more effort than grace she organized the wagon and moved for her own trunk.
A strong gust of wind knocked her back on her bum with a scream. "This wind!" She cursed loudly. Her hood had been blown back completely, allowing her luxurious hair to spill out over her shoulders. "Help me up, would you?"

"Aww, that's no fun." He gave her one of his genuine grins before hefting another trunk up into the wagon. Vierace frowned thoughtfully as he believed that a pop came from Rylxrya's arms. Such a fragile female that one. But he knew better to underestimate her - a big spark she had inside.
"Pfft. Everything in this world holds some value to me." Muttered Vierace as he nimbly leaped into the wagon himself with another trunk in his arms. Gods, what exactly did she carry in these? Felt like he was trying to carry the wagon itself!
Luckily his arms were easily freed as he slid over to Rylxrya. "Careful now, Rylxrya." Stated Vierace calmly as he bent over and picked her up as easily as a young child. "Perhaps you should stay inside out of the wind's way while I finish up here?" He looked behind them. "There's not much left anyway."
What a lie that was.

Rylxrya looked up into his orange eyes and smiled. She pushed against him, kicking off onto her own feet as easily as a leaf in a storm. Her hood slipped back over her head with a graceful sweep. "I'll be fine. I've faced much worse than anything the wind can give me."
Her slippered feet crested on the edge of the wagon as she frowned. Suspiciously she turned back to Vierace, her eyebrow lifted. "I believe your definition of 'much' is different than mine." Seeing the rest of it reminded her of just how much junk she packed around with her. All of her valuables were already inside, but what remained was just knick knacks she couldn't part with. Stroking her sleeved, she hobbled down to the ground. "What if we burned it? All of it?"

Vierace frowned lightly before shaking his head with amusement. Jeez, that fortune teller - "If you say so, then I must believe it so." He replied warmly before slinging another trunk over his shoulder. Gods above you would think there was a dead body in these things!
"No, no it isn't." Vierace replied smoothly despite the small ache in his arms and back. Rylxrya's next statement made the drow freeze and with swift movements he dropped the trunk in the wagon and scampered down after her.
"Burn it really?" He questioned in open surprise. "You just want to burn things that you've been packing for ever?" He should know - last time his hands had even wandered near some of these trunks...
"Won't it be a waste?" Vierace finally replied in a soft voice, "I don't even mean profit wise, doesn't some of this stuff hold memories for you?"
