Guidelines for Starting a Roleplay.
All Roleplays in here must pertain to stuff I approve, as the title states.
4. Making new posts for RP locations and posting in old posts. A helpful guide. All new posts in the RP forum must describe a place in a Role Play world. It should be an expansive area or city, but buildings, castles, retreats, or important places of small area will be accepted as well. The title of the post should always be the name of the place you are creating.
An expansive areas would include any desert, sea, tundra, plain, mountain range, etc. Descriptions of such places should be as detailed as possible, breaking the area into sections if necessary. Location on the map is a must. Climate, geology, topography, flora, fauna, & resources are among things that should be discussed in detail.
Name Location Climate Geography Flora & Fauna Resources
Cities are centers of population for intelligent life, but they don't have to be human, other races can also have cities of their own. Cities have other factors that must be described. Location is a must. Each district of a city should be described in detail if it is large enough to break into districts. The type of people who live and work in the city. Resources and economic conditions. Any place that is important to a cities historical, economic, or sociological makeup should be included as a point of interest.
Name Location Population Districts Economy Places of Interest Resources Possibly Government & Municipal services **Note: All roleplays which are deemed active or well created will be promoted to Stickies.

1. Godmodding will not be tolerated.
1a. No invulnerability, every character has a weakness, even superman has his kryptonite.
1b. No Irrelevant Invulnerability, such as a character who is only able to be injured if he is flung into the center of the furthest quasar of the universe. Or only a single blade of grass from the lifeless deserts of dimension x can hurt said character.
1c. No Endless Power Characters, the more powerful your character, the more the limits of their abilities must be defined. No character can attack endlessly without eventually exhausting their stamina.
1d. No Planet Destroyers- no, your character may not have the ability to destroy anything near the size of an entire planet here.
1e. No Human Nukes- no humans with the power to unleash nuclear sized explosions from themselves. In other words, DBZ style planet busting attacks are out.
1f. No aimbotting and/or autohitting- Give your opponent a chance to react to your shots, and never ever claim a wound against your opponent in your own post. Write your post to make it seem plausible that your opponent will be hit and should be hit, but give them a chance to write their way out of it. If you must describe a wound, do it as a possibility and not an inevitability.
1g. No speed hackers- Characters who move fast and are evasive are allowed. Characters who are not bound by the restrictions of time are not allowed. Ex: He dodged 47 bullets, drink a martini, went on three dates, ran a marathon around the world three time and came up behind you to give you an atomic wedgie before you could even squeeze the trigger.
1h. Give your character a few relevant weakness- The stronger you make your character, the more necessary it is to define that characters;limits so others know what they are dealing with. All characters should have at least one major weakness to be exploited
One thing I hate is auto-hits, people who hit you with the attack automatically; instead of writing it, and the damage potential of the attack and leaving the opposing character a chance to react with a creative post.
Ex: Since you are next to me and this is a weaponless fight, I send a punch flying directly towards your nose at a force of 80 newtons. My other hand ready interfere with your counter.
Bad Ex: Well, I dodge at the speed of light and kick you in the kneecap, shattering it to pieces. Blood goes everywhere. Man, no way you can beat me now! icon_xd.gif
Good Ex: I dodge backward to avoid the punch, and as it is coming my way I take of hold of it. The force of the simple punch allows me to use your momentum against you as I attempt to flip you into the air with my strength.
The good example flows with the Rp and is adequately explained, yes the opposing character is auto-grabbed in a sense, but if he feels his character can avoid the grab logically or happens to be a stone-golem and can't easily be flipped then he can back up the previous post with a quote in his next post. Arguments should be debated outside the RP thread.

3. All Role Players Here Will Be Treated With Respect 3a. No flamming, ever.
3b. No arguments in in OOC brackets, take all arguments to the OOC thread or over the Gaia mail system.
3c. No waitbotting. Anyone who fails to post for a period of one week in a RP thread in which they are actively involved with another player or group of players is waitbotting, especially if the other party is uninformed of the absence. Waitbotters in a fight scenario will be subject to the whim of their opponent in finishing the fight. We know people have business in real life, but remember there are other people involved, and they should be informed and respected concerning long periods of time without posting.
3d. No ignoring botting, no ignoring the actions of other RPer's as if they never posted or didn't exist, unless they are breaking the rules pertaining to Godmodding.
3e. Love your fellow Rper, they make it possible.
