So, I've been looking for some very, very simple children's books or mangas for practice. I can't flip through them online, so I don't know what might be good, but I'd like to look at them for practice. Is there anything popular out there, like Pokemon or something, that's really simple?

Hm... I'd be interested in this too.
I bought a Doraemon manga awhile back that had both Japanese and English in it, but it was meant for people who already know Japanese who are learning English and it was beyond me. I think it had kanji in it without furigana but I'd have to check when I get home since I haven't looked at it in awhile...

Hmmm... Well, my language is very, very beginner, so something that has English in it would be good. Or maybe getting a manga that I already have in English in Japanese, preferably with furigana... I'm not too sure what would be most useful, hence why I'm asking! ^^

I'd check out Kanji De Manga. It teaches you hiragana, katakana, and kanji, but in a comic book form, and it has English explaining cultural practices.

Oh, thanks! That does look extremely interesting, although I probably should work on my vocabulary more...

Have you heard of the book Japanese in Manga Land. (or something like that...)
It's not actually manga but I've heard it's really good. I paged through it in a bookstore once and it looked really good. It's actually for learning Japanese. I would have bought it but I'm already at a somewhat intermediate level and it seems like it's more for beginers.
