Theme: "Summer's End / Autumn" Lady Arieta [LINK]"From Summer to Autumn. Because this picture holds one single tree that is just changing from its summer form to Autumn. Soon all other trees will follow that example as well as the nature around it. Summer ending to me is the rapid changes to the leaves on trees that surround us. Beautiful and graceful." Soaring Raven Vika [LINK]"Night draws a shroud over the day, as autumn brings change along its way." Nomad Rath [LINK]"Golden Horizon In autumn, leaves aren't the only things that change color. The sky has days where it decides to divert from its normal blue and dazzle its spectators. One afternoon it may explode with a fiery sunset... or as I was so lucky to come out to see, glimmer with a golden horizon." Queen Melethia Dagon [LINK]"The beginning of fall means that the leaves start changing colors. Here's some leaves already changing colors, and the sun is even starting to set here." Misuki Marishima [LINK]"Title: Wild Berries Story: Well, nothing reminds me more of fall than the theme of the harvest. All the trees and plants start to ripen their fruits, for many of us omnivores to enjoy as plentiful food." Phith Leico [LINK]"...it's a tire. And I took this picture over the weekend, so it's during Fall. Okay, so. As we can see, this is a nasty old, discarded tire, on some nasty, sandy beach up in cold, windy Massachusetts. See, Fall is when trees discard their leaves. See what I did there? And then they turn all brown and nasty and stuff, like this nasty tire that's coated in sand. And Fall is all about things changing, from school starting to the leaves falling to temperatures decreasing. Maybe the tire is some sort of thing signifying the growing awareness of exercise and health in the USA, and the tossing of the tire is synonymous with some sorta choice to exercise or deviate from the norm. ...yeah, it is kinda a stretch." Cortesa [LINK]"As summer ends and autumn begins, the days grow shorter. The sun rises later and sets earlier, limiting the number of hours of sunlight. This picture was taken at around 7:00 pm. In order to get it, I had to run around town for about half an hour to get a shot without any power-lines in the way. ... I think it was worth it." Brown and brittle, they blanket the ground, but one flower dares to paint color in this lifeless town. With delicate beauty it opened up, proudly displaying its vibrant blush. Before fall ends, it too shall meet its fate; to die and wither, never to last another day.
