"Then let it be," replied Heru-ur in an ominous voice. The mighty falcon flapped his wings twice, and flew up in air, dissolving in a burst of spiritual energy. As Kaede followed the bursting flight with a complex expression on her face, the spirit deep voice could be heard, echoing over the vast emptiness of the training field. "Be strong, my child. I will be by your side, don't you forget that." Although the spirit's manifestation disappeared, his voice and presence remained, to aid Kaede on her quest, the quest to dissect the very essence of the spiritual world, the spiritual energy itself.

Kaede sat up straigh again, and moved her legs crossed in a comfortable position. She closed her eyes. Inside her, she stretched out her inner arms, the invisible fingers seeking for the energy within. Quickly, she would locate the lively reiryoku current within her, and the fictional inner fingers of her soul would curl themselves around th strand of pure energy. Gently gripping it, she allowed it to flow through her fingers freely, sensing the light cold and freshness of it, combined with it swirling liquid-like texture in a strong but gentle current.
