Kiara was taken aback by the sudden confession. She had no idea what to do and her heart was pounding so fast that she feared it would burst. Kiara wanted to accept Killer's feelings, but she knew that she could not afford any distraction while she remained the Rose's guardian. Against her better judgement, Kiara sighed and said "I feel the same." she hesitated for a second before adding, "Just don't get upset if this ends badly, okay?"

Killernodded, understanding why she said that. "I know, i just needed to get that off my chest. I'm glad you feel the same though." He smiled and hugged her. It was only a slight hug, because he didn't know if she'd want him to do more.

Kiara returned the hug, before stepping back and saying, "Thank you. But we really should go back to Ashie right now. I don't like leaving her near large amounts of water all by herself." Then she smiled before turning away and walking back to the lake.

Killer nodded and followed her back to the lake. He was back to his normal self and just sat down by the edge. He was glad that Kiara felt the same way he did, but he couldn't do anything about it. He knew she wasn't going to say or do anything that showed she liked him, and that made him a little sad.

Kiara glanced at Killer timidly. She hoped that he wasn't upset that she hadn't done anything to show her feelings. Was I supposed to react more? I hope he's not mad at me for not showing any emotion or anything. What am I supposed to do? Kiara's head began spinning. Hesitantly, she reached out and grasped Killer's hand gently while trying her best not to show him how flushed her face was.

Killer smiled and closed his hand on her's. Atleast that was something. He looked over at her, noticing that her face was flushed, and just smiled more. He thought that that was kind of cute.

(Sorry for not posting in a while)
"Ashie will dutifully protect the rose!" Ashie saluted as Kiara left. She curled up in a little ball around the gem and decided to fall asleep, but she heard something interesting with her cat ears. The neko's eyes widened in shock. She could tell that Killer liked Kiara, but she never thought her best friend would be so fine with it. She shoved the rose in her bag and ran over to Kiara as she came back. "Kiara!" Ashie started crying as she hugged/attacked her friend, "Ashie is Kiara's best friend even though Ashie can't fly or have powers or even swim, right?"

Kiara was knocked back by Ashie's hug/attack. She patted her friend's head softly while saying soothingly, "That's right Ashie, we're best friends and nothing will ever change that. It's going to stay that way even after we deliver the rose." Kiara then stepped back and held Ashie at arms length, grinning. "Don't cry over something like this or else I'm gonna cry too. Okay?" Then she hugged Ashie gently, trying not to laugh and ruin the moment.

Killer smiled at Ashie's sudden hug attack. He shook his head an stayed quiet. He didn't want to ruin their best friend moment. He had a feeling that Ashie heard what they had talked about.
