Received my orders this week, I'm to report overseas in Japan in a few months now.
Any advice as to what to expect? Things to do and don't?
Also just got done with an anti-terror awareness course for overseas life, now I'm a little shaky about what I can and can't say online.. so, sorry if my post may be a little obscure. =/

I've been in Japan seven years now and I'm having the time of my life. Most people come here and never want to leave. It is very strict though especially in concern to alcohol consumption and civilian clothes. You may see the locals staggering around drunk but we can get into big trouble for doing the same thing.

So basically, the whole alcohol thing is as strict there as it is here in Great lakes? (I don't even drink anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem for me.)
I don't really have an specific questions right now, just looking for any advice that I need to know before I go there. Like "don't do this" or "don't forget that"
Not sure what to expect really, considering this will be my first real duty station.
