Powerchords are just a part of music as any other chord or combination of notes.
So I honestly do not mind if a song has, or is made up of powerchords.

Yee. cool
Powerchords are powerchords, I only hate them when an entire song is made up of really boring powerchords. Or especially when thats all the majority of a band's music is made up of. It doesn't say much for your guitar talent.

I play powerchords 70% of the time, because sometimes i just want that heavy-a** kikc-in-the-face sound, and power chords are really the only way to go. After all, if you play nothing but power chords, your just an index finger away from playing a barre chord.

I like power chords, the only problem is that some people just play powerchords...they dont bother to experiment with anything else, no solos, or single note ( as in so chord) riffs...or maybe some combination....nothing but power chords...

Powerchords are not only the basis of most rock, but they are also extremely flexible seeing as they are tonally neutral. Incredibly useful, but they may lack some flair.
I love them.

I never said people who play power chords suck. It's probably agreed that powerchords are not nearly as skill-challenging as sweet lead lines, solos, etc. That's all. I play powerchords alot too. I just like variation. I agree with Xenin, and I agree with Alazel; powerchords are very useful however I just personally get bored with them.

I indeed enjoy powerchords. I have been working on this little technique of soloing while my fingers are in th postion of a powerchord the whole time. Its not to technical but indeed fun. 3nodding

Power chords are great. They are like an opiate to my brain. (not saying I use) I like doing them on acoustics, but they do sound better on electric.

I love taking songs that are in single notes, and manipulating them into power chords. It sounds really funny if you do it right.^.^
