Genji swung his naginata around in Ziro's direction, showing off. "You know you can't..." Genji suddenly stopped, and smiled underneath his mask. He used his left forefinger to tape his temple three times. "Looks like I don't have too." After he said that, a booming roar exploded over the temple grounds, startleing all of the birds from the area.

Dragon...Ziro though. In all his life he was facinated by the legendary creatures, in fact this would be the second time he had ever see one. "Interesting." Ziro muttered. He allowed the lightning blade to vanish, pulling a small round pellet from his belt and tossing it at the ground. Smoke seemed to fill the area from nowhere and Ziro made a run for cover.

The sound of the roar had taken Gerin to the sight of a large humanoid construction. Likely a large temple by the looks of it. It felt like this was the source of that pleasant thunderstorm above as well, the rising static was apparent. Sparks began to dance around the spines on his back as he approached. Tilting his head to and fro, Gerin inspected the sides of the structure seeing it to be a fairly large structure with only two ways in, they weren't doors, and though the space looked tight, it wasn't going to be a squeeze.
"Thric ifniri" he quietly cheered sounding as little more than a crocodile growl as he skittered into one entrance and carried himself through the hall. The halls began to shake lightly as step after step, Gerin paced toward the temple center. As he peeked his head into the main sanctum he quietly hissed. The space was plenty large enough to enter but plenty occupied.
Slithering backward and flaring his nostrils to scent check, he kept a quiet view waiting at the entrance he was now blocking watching the fight before him ensue. He was fairly disappointed to have not found another draconic being at the source of the roar, but was curious to see the little humans scrambling about in panic.
Using his tail he thrust himself backward though the temple entry to notice a building puff of smoke nearby. Turning his head first then shifting his body, he kept his distance but watched quietly. At his size he was far from hidden or even miss-able, but figured nobody would notice.

Over the horrizon, two large golden wings appeared, followed by a head, the body, and the tail of a great dragon. Kiraka roared again, knowing god-son-Genji was somewhere around. She spoted him by a dark-cloud-grey-smoke plume, though it was not from him, but another. She landed in the clearing, and flapped her wings to get rid of the choke-blind-smoke, but there was no one inside it. She lifted her neck to Genji, who was standing in a brown-green-tall-tree, and nuzzled him with her snout.
Genji laughed when Kiraka nuzzled him, and patted her lower jaw scales. "To scared now, huh? Come out, if you dare!"

Ziro stood at the base of a tree, hidden well enough to not be seen. His brains wracking for something he could do to get the dragon out of the picture. All scenarios led to him being eaten. There was no way that getting to Genji would happen. Suddenly the smoke was clear and Ziro saw the majestic dragon. Incredible....Ziro thought. Ziro's felt as though a light bulb should be placed over his head. A lightning doppleganger. Would it work? Only one way to find out.

Genji whispered something into Kiraka's ear, and she sniffed the wooden end of Genji's naginata, the end Ziro had punched. She arched her neck and sniffed around the area Ziro had been standing when he thhrew the smoke bomb, and suddenly, her eyes darted to a nearby tree, the exact one Ziro was hiding behind. With another roar, Kiraka reared her head back and launched a ball of lightning straight for the tree, causeing it to explode.

Gerin remained quiet and content to observe what was shaping up to be a fight between two of the little hairless sapiens, one happened to be in hiding until this tree just burst into bits with some sparks cackling here and there. Gerin jumped back in surprise to see where the cause was. A gold dragon? attacking one of the bald apes? Hardly seems fair. He thought as he wiped some of the cindered splinters from his brow. Raising his head high he tilted it as he took a good long look at the golden dragon before him. I wonder if the one in white would mind if I interfere? Whether he did or not, Gerin's sheer size would provide suitable replacement cover for the moment.

Ziro lept out of the cover as it was blown away. Ziro would not have the time to conjure a doppleganger before he was killed. "It seems that you would need a dragon to defeat me Genji." Ziro teased as he landed softly. Once more the blades of lightning appeared in his hands. This dragon, being one of the lightning element would be a highly formidiable opponent, not including Genji.

Genji patted Kiraka's snout, and laughed, again. "I didn't call my Godmother to kill you, but to warn you. I don't want to have to have any more blood on my hands than nessecary, and since you insist on taking my lifene..." He motioned to Kiraka. "You will have to go through her first." He swiftly climbed to the base of Kiraka's neck, and pointed to Ziro. "I suggest you don't come looking for me." Kiraka then roared one final time, and pushed her giant wings tward the ground, propelling herself upward, and away from the Temple, heading inthe direction of the land of Wind.

Ziro's blades of lightning vanished again. "Cowardice...." Ziro said, spitting on the ground. "You've made the biggest mistake Genji, you've underestimated my nerve." Ziro muttered to himself formulating a plan. "We'll meet again and next time I won't be so merciful." Ziro entered the temple and recovered his blades. Making his way towards the exit. It was time to brush up on his knowledge of dragons.

Looks like I showed up on the back end. Oh well. Since the humans and the one strangely old but obedient dragon went their separate ways, Gerin had little reason to stick around. To look for another dragon might be the right course, but the seas were quiet. He'd be traveling on land for a while. He pushed himself to a full stand so as to not have to drag his belly across the more rugged terrain inland as he began to plod step after step westward. The town wasn't a likely spot for other dragonkin to congregate.

Not being particularly suited to tracking, Ciel came to a hard stop trying to follow the tremors of heavy steps. She rested her hands on her knees and took a few deep breaths to catch her breath. As she looked up, to her surprise and horror a lone tree had been shattered to barely a stump. She placed her fingers on the remaining bit of stump and before long it began to glow.
The grass immediately surrounding the stump began to become slightly greener with some ferns quickly stretching from the soil. The stump began to stretch and grow regenerating into a full tree trunk again. As the trunk stretched and cracked skyward, it began to rapidly branch off with each limb further splitting and leaves budding rapidly at the tips.
The tree was full of life once again but not restored to its former self. It was living and able to continue. Ciel stood up and patted the trunk before turning and walking away from it. The odd distraction of a dying tree completely distracted her from her task of following the large beast, but where she was, there was no way she could catch up on foot.

After a deep breath and stretch, Ciel was feeling enough stamina to move on. She took one last look at the tree she had saved and gave a gentle wave to it, feeling it may have a sense of what had happened to it. She slowly started walking back toward town, hoping the rain would come to an end soon. Rain was important to the plants but sun was always so much more pleasant.
