"Give it up for SHINKUU NAITO!"
The crowd starts an applause as you exit the stadium. Screeching iron gates close behind you. All the gladiators welcome your return with a quick cheer as they prepare for their own fights.
"Hah, hah, hah! You sure showed those knights what we're made of!" one of the combatants goes.
"Course... I've heared rumors that they've brought in a caged adult dragon." He proclaims. "Can't wait to see that fight eh?"
"Yea." Another gladiator responds. "I've already got 'n my large pot'o'chips to bet. Probably gonna be the quickest match we'll ever see."
"Well what about two years ago when-"
"That wasn't a true fight... Still, I expect it won' take long for a full grow dragon tah keel anythin' in its way."
"Heh... Newguy, what do you think..."

"Tch... It was just a tin can. Too easy." As he pulled out scraps of metal from his hair. He seemed to smile however at the dragon comment. "My money would be on the dragon..." His eyes glinted for a moment. "However... It would be fun to fight a dragon..."

"Well we've seen their monsters fight! Their ghastly creatures have barely stood up to our gladiators."
The announcer booms; ripples form in the water. Surely knights in armor could've picked a better arena.
"But now, it seems like they want a piece of the action! Hehehehe! And who better to deal it out then our newest addition to our family and her little friend! Hehehehe! Lets give 'em an arena-dog welcome!"
"You blood-hounds! Here, is-"
A little flap folds up to reveal the end of a long copper tube. The announcer's whispering echoes loudly from the aperature.
"So... new kid. The crowd can't worship a face-less hero. And a name-less one is a face-less one. So give me a name quick."

With a loud bang and a cloud of smoke, Poa the magician appears in the arena. She waves excitedly at the cheering crowd. Her last appearance in the arena had been scary yet exhilarating at the same time. This time she would be attempting something a little different. She looked back at the entrance of the arena, waiting for her partner to make his appearance.

A solitary mask fell from somewhere out of sight and onto the floor beside Poa. bubbling up from beneath it a black tentacled monstrosity of unnameable features slowly formed before being wrapped tightly into a human like shape by black bandages. The mask never having left its "Face". "Hahahaha! It has been while since I've feasted!"

[[Good thing I'm canadian and know how to get accented letters ^.^. Too bad the class I have to use them in is my worst subject.]]
"The Dryad Magician! Poa ArĂ¡ethos!"
"And some fresh blood. Hehehe~. He... She... It..." This was the first time the announcer has ever made a mistake. But being a proffesional, he goes on.
"Lets welcome into the family... The Shadow of the Damned, the Spirit Breaker!"
~+~
The audience goes wild at the oddest duo in the coliseum yet!
~+~
The artificial quagmire sits infront of you. Empty of all signs of activity other than the bubbling of clear water. Today it seems, the water gurgling out of the pipes seems a bit faster. They seem to be filling the Blue arena with more water than usual.
Something glints in the sunlight in a puddle at the far-side of the arena. It seems to be about three feet long and two feet high, but the sunlight glaring from the metal surface makes it hard to determine just what that odd shape was...
"AHAHAHA! Look everybody! Such cowards call themselves knights! Ahahaha!"

"Hmm? Where's are challengers?" Poa glances about the empty muddy arena and spots the shiny metal object submerged in the puddle. Cautiously, she approaches it to get a better view. Even with her naive nature she knew something was up.

The large metal object appeared to actually be a rather large steel ball. Upon nearing the said object, it began to shake...
~+~
A massive plume of confetti streams into the air. The muddy ground is accented by a smattering of colors.
~+~
In the now split metal ball, a large piece of white paper was folded up inside. Like a spring, the thing pops out and lands fully opened; face up.
"ITS A TRAP!" The thing replies. Suddenly, the marsh-like ground erups upwards and you find yourself standing ontop of a wooden platform.
"We just the pumps fixed!" The announcer whispers into the crowd.
Suddenly, the arena starts to quickly fill up with water. Although it was only about two feet down, the wooden raft was already floating. From both sides of the arena, two metal containers drifted out; supported by makeshift floatation devices. [Read wooden barrels strapped to the side].
The lid of one opens up, and up stands one lone knight dressed in heavy armor. "Hahaha! They said we'd get extra pay if we gave them a reason to try out the new flooding system!" The knight laughed a hearty laughed and flicked open his helmet to reveal a bearded face. He looks like he has a cold.
Sniffling, he bowed down. "Sorry, where are my manners? I'm Sir. Josheph Laurier! And this is my Tin-Pot-Navy! Rather shoddy isn't it?"
Within seconds, the fronts of both metal boxes open up and little three by three feet metal rafts with inflated floats come pouring out of them. On top of each raft was a gnome wielding a rather large metal object with a flared end pointing in your direction. Although they all have the look of seasoned veterans. They all came equipped with a tin-pot helmet and makeshift life-vests. Apparently just to woo the crowd with absolute hilarity.
As the crowd laughs. One gnome points his flared metal thingy into the air. There was a burst of fire as a large metal ball flies into the air and knocks a large duck out of flight and into the water. The gnome and his craft is propelled backwards by the force of the blast.
If this wasn't the weirdest thing the arena's seen yet, its certainly the... Well. I got know idea just what kind of freak this Pit Boss is but seriously? What kind of sick individual creates all this just for the entertainment of a crowd of paying people? A smart one... With a large sense of humor who seems to like to poke fun at gnomes... Anyways: Gnome1 will reload Gnome2 will Fire Gnome3 will Fire Gnome4 will Fire Eight more gnomes sit and wait for their turn J.L will attack. Box One sits there Box Two sits there Water-Pumps will continue to pour water

Oozing across the surface of the water like a renegade oil slick the "spirit breaker" got into a position beside Poa on the wooden raft. It studied the three gnomes that hadn't fired their odd weaponry yet and smiled a terrible smile, the mask that was its face contorting into something evil. "Snacks..." With a whip like movement of its arm, the spirit Breaker launched its claws at the second gnome. The tendril like arms making odd trails through the air to smash into it on makeshift raft.

"Whoa." Poa exclaims (she says this a lot) as she steadies herself on the platform. She was expecting a surprise but nothing like this. However she quickly came back to her senses. "Well Sir Joseph, I am Poa Areathos. Let us make this a nice show for the crowd. She bows at the gnome and then begins to cast her mana shield. She was able to adjust quirkiness of the situation rather quicky. She was a performer after all and was use to theatrics.

[{Wonder what Gerbo would say... Musket wielding gnomes... Oh and that small size abillity is something so Poa's magical blasts of keel-haul don't just scuttle the gnomes that easily.}]

The gnomes fire a volley of fist-sized metal balls into the most intimidating threat: The one called Spirit Breaker. The water; although not too deep, ripples and pushes the gnomes and your raft in all different directions. Your claws somehow managed to strike their mark and smashes against the gnome's makeshift armor. It could've knocked him off his raft, but one lucky shot hits the middle of your stretching arms and the full force of the blow is diminished. Poa sees Laurier sliding ontop of the water on what appears to be a water-jet based wooden raft. Although it looked flimsy, it sped across the water. A large ripple of magical energies signals the smashing of Laurier's greatsword on your the side of well timed mana shield
As this is going on... The backround hums of the water pumps splooshing in more and more water.
[[Ignore the refuge. Don't even know why I thought of using it.]]
[[Trying to impart a sense of team-work rather than nuke all you can. Don't worry Poa. One enemy; you can guess who, doesn't like magic. Apparently full-steel armor is sorta conductive of energy ^.~]]
Three gnomes reloading Two crates doing absolutely nothing And a partrich in a pear tree... Er... One gnome fires.
Joseph Laurier will attack and smash again
The arena water pumps will raise the water level.

"Hey!" Poa exclamations as Joseph strikes at her. However his blows bounce of her mana barrier, partially draining it of its power. In retaliation she summons a large ball of energy in her hands and launces it at josheoh it a spectacular display of pyrotechnics. She then notices the wounds her partner received from the muskets at his last attack on the dwarfs. "Lance be careful. those muskets seem to pack a punch." Mitzka's hands light up with a bright light which then hops over to Lance traveling over his body healing his wounds.
