Vashes United has been a bit neglected this summer. To make up for it, pseudoVash and NekoNyah have compiled a bunch of activities and contests to entice members back into participating. If you no longer wish to be a Member, please use the "Quit the Guild" button, or PM one of us to get "banned" from the Guild.

If you haven't visited lately, Gaia completely overhauled Guilds and has improved many features. You can access the Guild through the "Community" tab, where you can see your Guilds and the latest postings in each. Summer Art Contest: Calling all artists! Send us your interpretation of "Trigun" characters in a summertime setting: Wolfwood and Millie at the beach, Vash jumping through a sprinkler, etc. Any original art is eligible, regardless of medium. Post your art in the Contest Thread http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=16420233 by Friday Aug. 28 2009. Voting will run from Aug. 29 to Sept. 5. The artwork which receives the most votes will win the Grand Prize. There may be additional prizes depending on number of entries, ties, etc.
All entrants will receive a Sketchbook, Pencil and Paintbrush.

Trigun AMV Contest and Film Fest 
This was suggested ages ago by Mitsuki the ninja ... a Guild animation contest!
Create your own AMV (Anime Music Video) with Trigun as the underlying theme. You can incorporate any other anime or video footage as long as Trigun is included. Length, music genre and content are totally up to you, as long as they don't violate Gaia TOS.
Video composition MUST be your original work: stealing something from animemusicvideos.org or anywhere else on the Web is strictly forbidden!! We don't care if your work is less than perfect ... we want to see YOUR creation, not something you found on youtube. Deadline for entry is Sept. 10, when the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) starts. Videos or video links should be posted in the official Contest Thread http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=16420771, and voting will go on until the end of September. The video which receives the most votes will win the Grand Prize. There may be additional prizes depending on number of entries, ties, etc.

Logic Puzzle Contest EXTENDED:
PseudoVash spent a lot of time fussing over the Logic Puzzle which was supposed to be for the month of June. Only ONE brave soul, the lovely loser, submitted his answers ... which were correct. Help Neko Clean Out Inventory!
I've been accumulating stuff to use as contest prizes and birthday gifts, and my Inventory is overflowing. If you'd like some free stuff like Head Octopi, Tiny Terror Dolls, Langer Plushes. Aquarium Earths, Aquarium Pirate Skulls, etc. etc., start a Trade with me! I'll load you up with a variety of cheap items, plus at least one moderately-valuable goodie (100-1000g value). Be sure to put "Free Stuff Wanted" in your Trade heading. If you want something specific, like all 3 colors of Octopus, be sure to mention it.

In October, we plan to have 3 different Halloween costume contests: IRL (your actual cosplays), tektek and an art contest. The RL cosplays can be entered as "Trigun" theme or "open theme", and you need to submit photos. The tektek and art will probably feature the same theme: dress a Trigun character in a Halloween costume. Vash in a tutu? Knives in a Vash outfit? (tricky) You get the idea. The goal is to have at least one creative costume contest that EVERYONE can participate in, regardless of their sewing or drawing ability.
In December, we'll be doing the Secret Santa again, and I'll be dumping my ridiculously huge collection of Xmas items on the participants.
