It was early after noon within the forest of Enchantment, the sun was setting behind the rolling hills and the sky had turned gorgeous shades of orange, pink, yellow and white. The weather had been relatively good today, barely a cloud in the sky and the temperature was warm with a gentle breeze, a perfect day indeed.

Elu had chosen to spend it by the river side, the sound of the rushing water was nice and peaceful, exactly what she needed, after all recently she had come into possession of a young centaur and was now his guardian. It all had happened so quick and in all honesty was quite stressful, not that she hated it, she was just used to being by herself, so the change was a bit odd.

Sitting herself down upon her haunches she flicked her rose covered tail into the water, letting it float upon the surface, the currant tugging at the roses, pulling them from her tail. As she sat there she ran her slender fingers through her ginger hair, a sweet song escaping her lips as she gazed off into the clear stream ''Living river turn light to diamonds when I look in my true loves eyes, young as any spring, his eyes almost sing..'' Her singing voice was a soft and gentle one, all in all it was pleasant to listen to.

Arnold hadn't time to look at silly things like nature or the sky to admire the weather at the moment. Earlier this morning, he'd woken up to an awful noise. He wasn't sure what it was, but the noise had frightened Midori, his travelling companion, to bolt off.

After a few moments of panic, the centaur forced himself to calm. "She'll come back. She always does. We'll find each other before the sun sets and be on our way tomorrow." He nodded, feeling rather confident of himself.

Only now did Arnold have a chance to look about. The sound of the river caused a thirst to well up inside of him, and he slowly ambled toward it. He allowed his knees to collapse under him as he bent down toward a calm eddy and cupped his hands to gather some cool liquid. Unbeknownst to him was the mare's soft singing. The raging water easily drowned out her voice.

The muffled sound of a thud caused the female to stop singing, a brow raising as her sea green eyes scanned the area around her, her tail flicking out the water and by her side, droplets scattering about. She sat in silence as her gaze flicked from thing to thing until falling upon another centaur. It seemed that he had not seen Elu yet, mind you she was a good few feet away from him, plus he may be stuck in thought rather than paying attention to the things around him.

Pushing herself up onto her hooves she brushed her hands down her sides, dusting herself off, her eyes locked on the male, watching his movements and to see what he'd do next. From what she could see he was a fairly brightly colored male, what with his green pelt and white markings. Although his black hair, tail and leg markings balanced him well.

Elu pondered on whether talking to the male, but her wary side told her to just stay put and see what happens. Elu was never the person to run into things, instead she was someone who preferred to analyze the situation, a much better way to go about situations in her opinion.

Arnold slowly sipped the sweet water from his cupped hands, only to discard the rest to be recycled by the river. His white hand gathered more and splashed it onto his face while his black hand held his hair back. As he washed his face, he peered around, feeling rather... Watched.

The bright stallion quickly whiped excess water from his face and stood up when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Arnold's red gaze narrowed in the direction of the movement, only to see another centaur. He sighed in relief and nodded toward the mare.

"Hi, there!" he shouted rather cheerily, unsure if his call could be heard over the raging waters of the river. Not wanting to bother the female, he stayed put, letting her choose whether or not they spoke.

She eyed the stallion for a moment as he arose to his hooves, having now noticed her. He seemed fairly cheerful and friendly, plus he greeted her, so maybe talking to him wasn't all that bad, thought that didn't mean she'd let her guard down, Elu just wasn't like that ''Um..Hello.'' She shouted back, lifting a hand up and waving slightly, a brow raised as she inspected him once more. She wasn't sure if he could hear her over the noise of the stream so decided to move a bit closer, cautiously keeping her gaze focused on the male, then promptly stopping a few inches away, her arms folding across her chest, nose wriggling ''I didn't startle you did I?'' She asked, raising a brow, the corners of her lips pulling down slightly.

[[Oh god the brain fart eoe probably because I'm tired, but either way I apologize for this craptastic post.]]
