For a few months I had a plasic sheet separating my two male honey gouramis.
It was clamped beween two pieces of wood that I had super glue'd to the back of the tank.
When I moved to a new appartment one of the wood pieces got lose, and with it the sheet.
Since then my fish have been finding ways to get to eachother no matter what I do.

Because my tank has an odd shape I can't really think of an effective divider. Does anyone have any sugestions?

The shape of the tank is like a vase: The top is wider then the bottom, which is great for surface area for the fish, but not so great for making a devider. Also the front of the tank bulges inward, while the back bulges outward, to give the illusion of greater depth.

You could buy a regular divider and cut it to shape. Buy one that's made for a tank bigger than yours that way you have a little liberty with the cutting.
