There are two ways a slipper can breed. Magical Thread Weaving (MTW) and the "Old Fashioned Way" (OFW). More information on the differences can be found in the following posts.
General Breeding Rules
A slipper must be an adult or anthro in order to breed.
There is no limit on how many times a slipper can breed; however, an individual slipper can only breed once a month (this applies to both parents).
All the slipper species can interbreed together.
Rare traits (demonic, fairy, angelic) have a 25% chance to pass on to children.
Lineart edits have a 25% to pass on to children. (Note that not all colorists do lineart edits - editing degree is at the colorist's discretion! MT breeding passes down lighter edits than OFW.)
Baby slippers cannot have lineart edits unless the parents do!
A single person can only keep one baby from each breeding.
Two identical slippers (i.e stock slippers from the same series) can not breed together. Stock slippers from different series can breed, however!
Costs:
Magical Thread: Cost per parent
Normal Species: 7K Unicorn or Dragon: 25K Demonic, Angelic, or Fairy: +10K Lineart edits (at colorist's discretion): +edit price as listed in the custom pricing thread; your colorist will let you know what bracket your breeding falls under
Old Fashioned Way: 25K per parent; +10k for special traits; +colorist's price for lineart edits. Dragons & Unicorns OFW: 200K per parent (see special rules!)

Breeding via Magical Thread Weaving
What's the difference between a regular foot slipper, and a magical fuzzy slipper? The magic, of course. Fuzzies become alive because they are enchanted by a magical thread that gets sewn into them with care.
[NPC] is the resident expert on magical thread weaving. She can enchant thread from a variety of sources. But one way two sippers can breed is to make a magical thread of their own.
An adult slipper can take fur or hair and give it to [NPC]. She will then weave the fur together and create a magical thread that's a combination of both the "parents." The resulting slipper will look a little bit like each parent.
Since Magical Thread Weaving is completely non-sexual in nature any two slippers can do it. Friends, lovers, male/female or same-sex. (Though no direct-relation breeding, please!)
Adult x Adult breeding via the Magical Thread method will result in 2 babies.
Anthro x Adult will result in 2 babies.
Anthro x Anthro will result in 4 babies.
Please note: Breeding via Magical Thread will always produce babies with the standard growth cycle (slipper > baby > adult).

Breeding via The Old Fashioned Way
The "old fashioned way" of breeding is exactly how it sounds. It's the birds and the bees and all that jazz, and it is only available to bonded anthro x anthro breedings.
When a female anthro slipper gets pregnant, she will give birth to babies instead of slippers. However, unlike breeding through Magical Thread, the babies are destined to be anthros from the moment they are born. OFW babies are born at the puppy/kitten/etc. stage, then age to adults and lastly to anthros - no potion required!
Two slippers must be bonded in order to breed the OFW. Once two slippers are bonded, they cannot breed with anyone else, period.
If a bonded pair is same-sex, they must have a surrogate or donor of the opposite sex. This surrogate will not be taken into account genetically speaking - the babies will be the product of the two same-sex parents, with the surrogate providing the needed help.
Breeding the OFW will produce 3 babies, always!

Dragons and Unicorns
Dragons and Unicorn are exceptionally rare, exceptionally magical slippers. Because of this, their breeding rules are different.
Breeding Dragons and Unicorns via Magical Thread Weaving:
When dragons or unicorns breed via Magical Thread, they give EACH baby they produce a 5% chance to be a Dragon or Unicorn. (So if both parents are a dragon or a unicorn, each baby has a 10% chance to a dragon or a unicorn.)
If the dragon or unicorn species doesn't pass on, then half the babies will be the same species as the other parent, and half the babies will be a completely random standard slipper type!
Like all other slippers, there is no limit on many times dragons or unicorns may breed via MTW.
Breeding via The Old Fashioned Way:
Dragons and Unicorns can ONLY breed the OFW twice in their lives.
They DO NOT have to be bonded to their partner in order to breed the OFW.
There is a 25% chance that each baby will be a dragon or unicorn. However, at least ONE baby is guaranteed to be a dragon or a unicorn. (Therefore, if two dragons and unicorns breed, each baby will have a 50% chance of being a dragon or unicorn, with a guarantee of at least one being a dragon or unicorn).
If the baby is NOT a dragon or a unicorn, it will be the species of the other parent. If both the parents are either a dragon or a unicorn, then any non-dragon or non-unicorn babies will be a random standard slipper type.

Slippers with Special Breeding Rules
The Fox Mink breeds like a normal fox.
Goti can breed via MTW only. He has a 50% chance of passing on the "demonic" trait. He has a 5% chance of creating a unicorn baby.
Wolves are considered unedited dogs for breeding purposes. Kitsune are considered foxes.
