Nikorai sniffed a bit as she half-snapped at him "You have nothing to be sorry for" Nikorai fell limp as she rolled off of Aki and on the ground, looking up at the sky. She heaved a sigh and whispered "You have what you want to know, you can go now..."

 »» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Aki's temper returned with Nikorai's attitude. "Hey, I'm feeling sympathy for you and you're snapping at me like an old lady?" He sighed and put a hand on his forehead, slightly pushing his bangs back. "Never mind..." He looked up and removed his hand from his head. She looked peaceful yet tired and tortured as she laid down in the forest with moonlight streaking her hair. The sympathy was still there, even though she was hard to breakthrough to. "Is there any way I can help?" he murmured.

Nikorai felt her heart lurch. 'What?! I can't tell him now can I, or I'll get stuck like this...' She sighed as she averted her eyes from Aki, "I didn't find a cure yet...I have until my eighteenth birthday before I get stuck with this curse forever."

Then a thought popped up in his head. "Hey. Can I... help you find a cure?" he asked. He still wanted to be involved with this girl. He found something out of the ordinary. How could he let this opportunity to escape a boring life slip away?

Nikorai rolled over away from Aki, to hide her pink-tinted face. She she looked around at her surroundings as she stammered "Sh...Sure..." A thought passed her mind as she suddenly turned towards him, "Why do you want to help me anyway...Your the first person in who knows how long that would actually dare to approach me and" she choked on the next few words, "and actually follow me..."

»» aкı ηaкagaωa «« Aki was about to actually smile at her as if they were having a 'moment' because she agreed to let him in on this 'cure'. But she just had to ruin it again with her ungratefulness. Was she having mood swings? "... I don't know... You're just... interesting," he said softly. He decided to return her attitude. "I'm offering my help, can't you just accept it?" he snapped, however still attempting to take this in an inoffensive way.

Nikorai sniffed, as if she was about to cry, "I was just asking..." She looked up at the sky, noticing that the moon was fading away. "I better get going, you can follow me, if you can keep up that is" She stuck out her tongue teasingly at him as she headed towards the beach.

He stood up and ran after her, kicking his boots off when he saw sand. They had reached the cliff once again. It was just like a cycle. Except this time, he knew not to jump off.

Nikorai turned around giving Aki a sweet smile as best as she can, although her eyes betrayed sadness and longing. "Who knows? But one always has to keep track of time..." She then put her hands crossed over her chest as she let herself fall backward just as the sun peaked over the mountains. She fell headfirst into the water, now the mythical aquatic animal that sailors always wished to see. She heaved a large sigh, bubbles floating up to the surface, breaking as it sprayed water droplets on the morning-lit water.

»» aкı ηaкagaωa «« ULTRA TIME SKIP. ONE. MONTH. LATER.Aki kicked up the sand as he walked along the shoreline of the beach. His boots were sprinkled all over with sand by the time he reached the rocks under the cliff, where only Nikorai and Aki would meet. He never spotted another human being there besides them. It was very far out away than where citizens of the town usually came. It was mandatory for them to be out of other humans' sight since at daytime, Nikorai was in her mermaid form. They feared that a sailor would come by and try to capture her, or something terrible like that. Aki crouched down by the rocks, his eyes scanning the horizon line for Nikorai the mermaid. It was about time to tell her about the coming party. He wondered if this was like a sign of affection, but he couldn't say he even liked Nikorai more than a friend...
((... sorry, i'm kinda in a rush. my brother's kicking me off...))
