For me, I can picture Rath as a Hatori (wolf) laguz since his nickname is the Lone Wolf. Nino as a cat laguz.

As for Tibarn, I dunno why, but he somehow looks like a Warrior type figure to me. sweatdrop

Ayra would make a great Hatori laguz. However, if Ayra is a Hatori laguz, FEF Tibarn and Ayra would make a chimera Vah. sweatdrop

Hmm...I am not sure why yet I see a bt of mages being like dragon laguz

I'm really not sure what to classify FD to begin with since he's not a laguz per se, but he transforms without a dragonstone.

I see the following conversions quite clearly though in general:

Heron: Magic users much? Arguably more oriented to Light magic, but considering how balanced they are and how closely connected they are to nature, Anima makes plenty of sense as well. Bard/Dancer make for quite literal translations in terms of function, too.

Raven: The Thief class-tree comes to mind for sure. And there are definitely some aesthetic contradictions, but see similarities between Ravens and Pegs for the high speed and generally less impressive strength

Cat: The Myrmidon class-tree. If I had to put Archers under a Laguz, I'd make them Cats too - no idea why.

Wolf: Nomads?

Hawks: Mercenaries for their somewhat similar stat distribution of very generous strength and speed? Wyvern Riders (who I don't see as Dragons for whatever reasons)?

Tigers: Pirate/Fighter classes came to mind for the preferance of brutality over speed in general (not to say that there aren't relatively fast Pirates or Fighters).

And I have no idea about Dragons in general.
