Okay Role Players! It's time for you to have your fun! In this thread is where all the planning for role plays can happen. Like if you want or need help with developing the story. Or you just want someone else's opinion on the plot. Or even to recruit members before you create the role play. That can all be done here. :]
In my experience I have created an estimated, I think, twelve role plays....possibly more :/ But I can help with any questions you have. I am also an avid writer and can help you with editing techniques before you post. And this goes for everyone. Don't just leave me to do everything. You're allowed to help too!! :]

I made my first online rp recently. If you click on my signature you will be linked to it. Any feedback? I'd love to have more people join, but only if they thought it would be fun too. Thanks for offering to help and please let me know, even though I am less experienced, if I can return the favor somehow. I'd offer to create art but I am quite busy with reality at the moment.

Sweetie, do you have a plot for your role play?
It seems that the role play could be a great success, but there's no direct storyline for others to follow listed on the front page, so they really don't know exactly what the role play is about.
The setting is clear and that's good! History is always important and I really like your descriptions of the worlds and such :]
A backdrop or guide for people to follow so they know what they're joining is really all I see from stopping what could be a long lasting story.
It's pretty good for your first I'd say :]

Thanks for the great advice. I suppose I will look around at other plots and see if that helps clarify it for me more. So far I've been a bit confused (more explanation in the second paragraph) and I've been getting inspired by other's posts as the story progresses. I really appreciate your time in giving me thorough and sincere feedback.
When I roleplay in real life my boyfriend usually is in charge of the plot (he is the story teller in a dark ages vampire campaign.) I've been confused how to translate what I know of roleplaying onto the online format because it seems from what I've read everyone can take charge during their posts of the story. While in real life m boyfriend would describe each scene to us, play many npcs, and alter the plot according to our actions.

I made a draft of the plot and would love advice Also, any idea for how to make the title or something more flashy to attract new members? I figured bumping in it would do little good.
So, how about this for the story (This plot may need some revision and ANY type of feedback would be great) :
The Gods are all-powerful, bending the world for their own amusement. They may have abilities and immortality which is very alluring to mankind. Power comes with a price though; very few Gods and Goddess are grounded. Even though some are dedicated to the light, they can’t fathom how precious life is when every fleeting moment is the only of its kind. They have free will, but exerting it is so easy that they can’t appreciate it the way the mortals can. To the mortals free will is their only true tool to make an impression on this world. Can humans change this world for their own heroic or dark intentions? Can even a God, amongst so many other deities, with equivalent powers to their own, face that they themselves may be limited in protecting or fiendishly entangling the playground that is Earth? Well, some have prevailed. For the first time, a Goddess has been transformed into a mortal with the use of the sacred Divine Chalice. The God Mythos has been able to persuade the council of elder Gods and Goddesses to band together so that there are no limits, even swiping powers from those amongst their own divine class. Will you enjoy life blissfully ignorant and if so, what's next to come of the power hungry when they are unchecked?

One Liner- One sentence- Correct Grammer or not
Semi Lit- 2to3 sentences- Mostly Correct Grammer
Lit- 4+ sentences- Complete correct grammer (little to no error)
Semi Para- 1 Paragraph- Usually used by Lit rpers
Para- 2 Paragraphs- Usually used by short story writers
Indepth Para- 3+ Paragraphs- Usually used by writers of all sorts
Im a Semi Para User.
This is how I was taught to Rp.
Back when I was 10 anywho lol

Hun. I do believe I know what I'm talking about seeing as Barton Town is my home base....no one uses 'para' anymore. Times have, umm...heh changed. You're either Literate. Semi. Advanced. Or a One-Liner. [One Liners are usually set in Barton Town or University]
One-Liner;; errors don't matter. Just type something out and you're good.
Semi;; some errors with spelling, grammar, and punctuation/capitalization. occasional is okay. Error is fine, as long as it's not habitual.
Literate;; little to no errors. No one will notice. They're too worried about their own posts sometimes.
Advanced;; any errors you're ********. seriously, if you type out seven paragraphs without even checking your work - just no. Everyone will notice.

If Christowns ever posts in here, be nice to him. We met like a year ago in an RP and it unfortunately stopped before it got too good :[ *Tears* I miss the old days.
Umm, what's T9? I thought that was like phone talk or something for when you're texting...? No?
And my cat keeps hissing for no apparent reason. I am deeply confused :/
I'll start something simple soon. I just have to like, ummm. Okay, I can use like a really really old one without revising it and put it in here. It's university fantasy...? isj

Back when I was like 10.
I was really into RP back then.
I would do anything for shits and giggles.
So I rped with some girl.
She linked me to a T9 forum.....
One of their posts, was like 3 of yours.......
If not more.....
T9=Times 9
You have to play 9 characters on average and make them all co op
with other characters of the forum.....
I stayed for alike a week,
Before I quit,
That s**t was so confusing >.<
You had to make it all work!!!
And if you messed up,
You were yelled at by the others lmao

It's no problem. And I'm going to school for being an English Teach, this is my main reason lol. I loooove editing and fixing stuff up :] It makes me happy to help. Well and to write haha. But we've got that established already right? I should post some poems in the writing thread... razz
