Hello there, HUR HUR. This is your guild captain, Winevy, telling you that you MUST READ THESE GUILDLINES BEFORE YOU ROLEPLAY. This is only to help you fully understand what is going on in the roleplay, since I have a habit to make things more complicated than it needs to be. But I fully believe in your capabilities to read all this then follow it out in your roleplaying. After all, you did manage to make it here, to this LITERATE guild. So I think you can handle this small task here. ;]

Danke!

Well, obviously Pokemon are very important in this Mystery Dungeon roleplay, as you are a Pokemon, and the world around you revolves around Pokemon. Because of this, you need to choose a Pokemon for yourself to be.

You CAN be:
- Pokemon that come from fossils
- Rare Pokemon
- Starter Pokemon
- A Shiny Pokemon

You can also be any combination of the four. Ex, A shiny Aerodactyl, A shiny Munchlax, etc.

You CANNOT be:
- A legendary Pokemon [however, you can recruit them later in the roleplay.]
- A Pokemon that there is only one of in the game. [Rotom, etc.]

Other than that, you can be any Pokemon. As you might know, there is a partner Pokemon that travels with you and stays with you for the whole of your adventure. This Pokemon will be chosen for you, but you will be able to put out choices of three Pokemon you might want as a partner and I will make the final decision. These choices must follow the above rules.

Before we move on, yes, Pokemon can evolve. The conditions, level, item, and/or place must be correct. If you somehow can't evolve a 'special Pokemon', I can make certain conditions. I'm not a heartless demon.

Well, this is Pokemon, so you obviously battle. This isn't very different from the usual PMD battles. You have a turn, your opponent has a turn, you have a turn, and on and on. As there are just battles and specific important battles, like bosses and special event battles. But regular battles aren't super important. You can just say you win. But you have to roleplay it out. Just like the following, without the parentheses to show turns.

Quote:
"Magenta stood in front of the entrance of the cave in front of her. As soon as she took a step into the dungeon, she was bombarded by a Luvdisc. It jumped out of the water and smacked Magenta's partner, Snitch, on the back, making him fall down. [Luvdisc Turn 1] Magenta quickly helped her friend up and then shot a Bullet Seed into the water, hitting the Luvdisc with a direct hit. [Cherrim Turn 1] Snitch growled at the Luvdisc that pushed him down and used Seismic Toss into the pond. [Machop Turn 1]

That's just a sample battle. In a real battle, there would probably be more action. And I want at least three turns each in every battle. That means that at least 6 actions in each battle. And at least two battles every floor. You lose 1 HP(times the multiple of 10 you level is. EX. level 40, you lose four) each battle of a Pokemon a lower level than you, 2 HP(same here EX. level 40, you lose 8.) for a pokemon the same level, and 3 HP(same here. EX. level 40, you lose 12) for a Pokemon of a higher level.

If you've noticed, there are the amounts of EXP of every Pokemon you defeat. Like every Pokemon game, there are levels and EXP. Pokemon know they grow levels, so you can include that in the roleplay.

For every level you grow, the amount of EXP you need to level up doubles. It starts at two at level one. Then 4 at level two, 8 at level three, 16 at level four, and 32 at level 5. This is what level you start at. And this way also makes it harder to grow levels. You're welcome.

This part's easy. You can recruit other Pokemon from dungeons. It's basically like you and your partner Pokemon. The Pokemon you can recruit are listed before every dungeon. They speak, like you, so let them have a say every once in a while! You can have an unlimited number of recruits, so don't be afraid to recruit everyone and fill up the biological Pokedex in your brain. As long as you can keep track of them all. But if you decide you don't want a certain recruit, you can just let them go. This is like 'releasing' in the regular games. They will be sad and all, but eventually will be recruited again. smile

Everything that has to do with recruits can be taken care of at the Chimecho Assembly in the Union. Others not part of the Union will have to find some place else. [Keep them all in a cave, perhaps?] He can release your recruit Pokemon like mentioned above, give them your items to increase their happiness, feed them your gummies to increase their IQ and form a job team. Everything and anything that has to do with team assembly can be handled by Chimecho.

Yes, now we get to the acursed dungeons... Not really. This is where all the fighting parts happen. Well, that is unless you get into a plot-related dispute in the town or you have an argument with someone in the Union that is. All these Pokemon are basically 'possessed' by the events that are happening. You still have to roleplay them out as normal Pokemon though, they aren't like zombies or anything.

Dungeons have items you can pick up and use for personal reasons, whether you get hungry after a three day trek up a mountain and need to eat an apple, or you can't get to sleep and need to eat a Sleep seed. Whatever your reasons, you can use the items you find in here. Also, for those of you who don't know, you can use any item you own inside a dungeon.

Dungeons are where you go to fulfill most jobs/missions. I don't really want to go over those here, since this is the Dungeon section and all, so go there. You usually have to enter the dungeon the job says to go to, fight enemies, pick up items, level up, and find the stairs. You must find the stairs to proceed onto the next BF[Basement Floor] or F[Floor]. The job description will also have the number of a floor where your destination is. You have to find stairs to go to that level and complete said mission, whatever that may be. I want three posts with at least two gnarly paragraphs for each floor. Dungeons aren't that easy to get through you know! Oh, and you should also know that time in the Union doesn't affect you in dungeons. You can go at your own speed and rest for the night when you need to. For this, you should spend the night resting every floor. It actually depends on your health and your belly. Though health will be refilled during the night, your hunger will actually go down. Make sure you have some apples or berries for your squad to eat in the morning! Everytime you sleep in a dungeon, your health will be refilled and your belly/hunger will decrease by twenty.

For every post you make in a dungeon, make sure you add every squad member currently traveling with you's health and exp. Don't forget yourself. Oh yeah, also add your destination floor, your current floor, how many posts you have for that floor, and any other key points/clues you might stumble upon in an expedition.

Money isn't all that easy to come by in the roleplay. You know how in the games you only get a fraction of what the client pays you because of 'guild expenses'? Well, its worse in the Union. Instead of taking off one zero, we're knocking off two! For instance; you get 3000G in a mission. After the taxation, you are left with 30G. Because of this, items in the store are a lower price. But not much lower. Just lower. You can store any amount of money you may come across in the bank in Teall Town.

Items do what they do in the games. Berries heal you, you throw everyday weapons at people, you eat seeds and breath fire; the possibilities are endless!

http://www.serebii.net/diamondpearl/berries.shtml Go there if you want to know about the berries. Most berries will most likely not be used right away, but it is good to know about them when the time comes.

Apples fill up your belly when you are hungry. For every floor, you lose ten hunger. For every battle you lose 5. You can increase the size of your belly so you eat less. Your belly starts at 100. Apples fill up your belly the whole way. Golder Apples[despite their legendary rareness] multiply your belly by 2 and keep it filled for the whole RP month.

http://www.serebii.net/diamondpearl/items.shtml Again, most of these items will not be used until later in the RP, merely because of effects Pokemon themselves, without trainers, have with certain items.

There are bulletin boards all over the place in PMD. Same here. There is an Outlaw Board where you take a job revolving around a Pokemon who has done a crime. These look like this:

Quote:

Rank: D

Oh dear, I was just walking around in Frosty Mountains 4F when Geodude came out from behind a snow-covered tree and ambushed me! I tried to fight him but he was much too strong. About Lv. 6, I'd say. Much too much for a Lv. 3 like me to battle. He is probably still behind that tree, trying to steal some more items from innocent Pokemon! Oh, I would very much like my Grimy Rock back! I am willing to pay anyone who gets my item back 3000G! This Outlaw must be stopped.

-Froslass, 3 Froslass St, Teall Town

First of all, missions have ranks. They start at F and go to A. Then S, then 1, 2, 3, 4... etc. But you probably shouldn't even attempt S unless you were a very, VERY experienced explorer, or you have permission of a Guildmaster. The place is bolded, the outlaw is underlined, the level of the outlaw is striked, and the item stolen was italicized. The reward is the color gold. The address after the name is where you will take the item once you finish the mission.

A normal mission is similar:

Quote:

Rank: E

I'd really like a Pecha Scarf, but they do not sell them anywhere I am aware of, and my mommy says I'm too young to get one in a dungeon. But I must have one! They are very 'in' at the daycare center where I go everyday. My friend, who is a Wailmer, told me there are Pecha Scarves in the Humid Forest... 6F I think he said. Oooh, I can't wait to get one! I have been saving up all my spare change and have managed to get a total of 2000G to pay anyone who brings me a Pecha scarf.

- Buneary, 2 Lopunny Dr, Teall Town

Same here.

As explained above, missions have ranks. The higher the rank, the more 'explorer points' you get. If you get enough, you are upgraded to a higher rank and can take on more challening missions. The order of the following are; rank; how many points it takes to get there; mission rank you can take on.

Normal; Default; F
Copper; 100 Points; E,F
Nickel; 200 Points; D,E,F
Bronze; 400 Points; C,D,E,F
Silver; 700 Points; B,C,D,E,F
Gold; 1000 Points; A,B,C,D,E,F

And here are the mission ranks and how many points you get from them:

F: 5
E: 10
D: 15
C: 20
B: 25
A: 30

And don't think that those are accumulative points. ;D It is said that there are coveted ranks that no one knows about except the guildmasters. Why don't you ask them about it someday? You might get some pretty interesting information.
