Shopping for fabric for new dresses was Shiayla's way of relieving stress, and getting out of the house, or just having alone time. Either way, with a husband and son who were generally at war with one another retail therapy could be very therapeutic. But it wasn't like she did this often, nor did she go crazy. Generally two fabrics were chosen for one new dress and that was that. After all, dresses were lovely and she had to look as if she had no worries so as to soothe those who looked to her for guidance, healing and support. As was the work of a high-ranking Unicorn Priestess.
"Yes, this one, I think." She murmured after stepping over to appraise a bolt of palest lilac with woven silver daisies as it's pattern. Setting down the needed gold and discussing the dress design before leaving, Shiayla felt that familiar excitement over a new dress. It was silly, petty, but she didn't really spend much on herself. She wasn't a creature who liked material things, nor really cherished anything aside from living creatures, but even then sometimes it felt like she had no room for herself any more, like the worries of everyone else and the suffering of the world could envelope her completely.
"I look forward to seeing another masterful creation of yours, Mister Tailor." She commented with a bright smile, waving as she pushed open the simple wooden door and left, the bell sounding as the metal piece of the door hit against it when opened. She stepped out onto the cobbled streets of the small town nearby the sprawling estate on which she lived, a light shawl draped over her arms in case of a change in weather. Though, looking to the sky and noting the clear blue with only faint wisps of white, how could a day as sunny as this turn? Smiling brightly and wondering what to do now, she looked around. Maybe going to the bakers was a good idea, he made such lovely cakes after all.

((Sorry for huge image, don't have the cert yet)) Yvaine was bored. The Emprix (well she was half Phoenix too) sighed from her spot in the sky. She had thought that relaxing up here would be a great time to spend. She had been wrong. So now what to do? She thought for a moment, well she could visit, what was it called? Earth was the planet? Something like that. There she knew that she wouldn't be looked at to oddly.
Her eyes closed and she thought of the place, someplace outside of a market she knew of, in a small town. Gravity took hold and she leaned to a side for a moment before straightening herself out. Much better. She ran a hand through her purple hair before looking to the market. Stretching her wings, Yvaine flew the short distance to the market. Few people starred at her when she landed.
Seeing all different sorts of people and creatures made her smile. Sure she was with her, partial, one kind in the sky but this was so much better. One thing she did enjoy about this place was that the shopping and food was good. But which to go to first? She thought for just a moment and the scent from a near by bakers swayed her. Yvaine's steps took her towards the bakery.

Shiayla appraised the shop front window, pleased to see her favourite type of sweet bread on the displays. A cream filled one. It was ever so delicious. Sweeping back her loose, gradient-hued hair as she entered the shop, Shiayla was once again reminded that sometimes time away from family was good. She loved her husband, dear lord did she love him, but sometimes having alone time helped. She dared not confide her worries about losing her sense of self with her husband, he had enough on his plate, so this was her way of negating the feeling. But now she was here and had all these cakes to choose from, dare she be the same, or try something different for a change?
The small, warm bakery smelt of just baked bread and melted sugar with an intensity that made Shiayla's stomach suddenly ache with hunger. Peering down at the selection behind the glass she hummed quietly as she thought. Even the window had different selections. Really, bakeries were such a bother to make decisions in! Looking up, she looked at the cakes when something outside the window caught her attention, thus she looked past it to the rather startling arrival of the female outside.
Surely not...?
Well, surely yes, because she had just seen her simply fly in. It wasn't that Shiayla was unused to flight-born creatures (her husband had wings after all.) It was just strange seeing something not in the species of dragon or Dark Pegasus (she knew Calentze as well, through healing work.)
Her quest for some sweet breads abandoned for now she continued to stare curiously as the female made her way to the bakery Shiayla stood in. What species was she exactly? She couldn't even place it exactly. Things seemed off on either choice.

Yvaine walked slowly as she made her way towards the bakery. Okay, perhaps flying in like that wasn't the best thing to do, as to a few people looked at her funny. But she guessed that teleporting into the center of a town wouldn't have been any better. Besides, her wings needed to be stretched every so often.
It was such a lovely day and she was glad that she had made the choice to come down here. It was quite a nice little town, even if she didn't know what it was called.
She glanced back over to the bakery she was almost at, everything in the window looked so good! Yvaine hoped the little money she kept on herself would be enough for something.
The Emprix pushed the door open and entered the bakery. Looking around at all the delicious she noticed someone, a unicorn it looked like, staring at her.

Shiayla started when it became obvious that the person she really, really couldn't look away from (she was interesting! How on earth was she to place her?) was heading towards the bakery she was in. She stayed routed to the spot, gold in hand to pass over the counter to the server. Oh no! She'd been spotted staring!
This was enough to cause her to dart her eyes away, feeling completely rude for doing so. She hastily handed the gold over and took the little wrapped bundle of cakes she had ordered at some point before now. When had she managed that? "Thank you." She said politely to the girl behind the counter, taking the cakes to place them in the basket she had on her arm that had a few other small, needed things she had purchased.
She turned and smiled at the woman who had just entered, hoisting the basket up the crook of her arm a little more. "I recommend the sweet breads. Oh! Or the cream-filled bread." She said in a helpful way, smiling happily. Might as well be a friendly townsperson, right? Even if she wasn't strictly a townsperson.

Entering the bakery she stopped for a moment before continuing. She hadn't been in one of these for a while. Yvaine smiled shyly for another moment at the unicorn that had been looking at her. She was, well, different from some creatures. Most didn't know of what she was anyway.
It was the wings that threw off most. She did look of Emprix to most, those who knew of her kind. But her wings is what they didn't place. Her father had been a phoenix, but her wings turned out blues instead. Yvaine mused that blue was a color of flames though.
Having lost her thought, she was still looking around. The Emprix wasn't sure what to get at all. She paid no attention to any of the others for a moment until she heard a voice.
Yvaine turned to face the other. "Why thank you. I haven't been to a bakery in a long while and wasn't sure what to get at all!" Her wings flexed slightly before resting behind her again. "Would you mind telling me which city this is?"
