We have our campusfest tonight, and two bands are playing:
Alexisonfire and Metric.
i'm hella excited. I dunno what to wear because it's gonna be so hot. I'm heading to the gym first too ><
Anyone like these bands?
EDIT: holy crap. So i'm back. I went out there early to get a close spot. There were two bands that opened and at that time, i still had lots of arm room and nobody moved much. However, when metric was on stage, the crowd began to squeeze in.
and then the moshing started.
And we're talking really shitty moshing. Basically the whole crowd was just shoving everyone and eventually the fence i was near was knocked down. I myself along with a lot of people got pulled down and i had my leg twisted funny between two so i'm sitting there screaming (since i couldn't do much else).
A few fights broke out too. This one a** slapped a girl because she took his hat and so we all were chanting 'Out! Out! Out!' and security took him out of the crowd.
So when Alexisonfire starts, i knew it was going to be hell. and lo and behold it was. This one guy kept asking if i was alright and that i didn't look good. I kept saying that i was fine and shaking it off, but it got so bad I ended up having to cling onto him for dear life after i nearly get trampled AGAIN, and he kind of just held onto me while he moved us over to the fence where i was lifted over and carried to the medical area.
I was shaking for some reason and then just spontaneously started crying even after having a conversation with this one girl about our photos. I guess i was in shock. I'm not used to big (stupid) moshes like that. My feet have been absolutely beaten up. My nails have been ripped off. I wore sandals and found out i couldn't reenter. =w=
So yeah, i got some good pics of the band from the side at least atm i'm just exhausted and want nothing more than to sleep.

the name Alexisonfire has always confused me o.o while i've been told several times it's "Alexis on fire", i always thing "Alex is on fire".
which made things strange when my friend Alex was wearing one of their t-shirts. it's like "what? you don't look on fire. if you are, why aren't you doing something about it?" XD
Metric sounds familiar, but i can't think of anything they play. then again, i'm not sure i've heard much of Alexisonfire either.

I've never listened to Alexisonfire, but I do have Dallas Green's (solo/stage name: City & Colour) Bring Me Your Love album. Which I absolutely love.
Totally awesome that they're at your school. Too bad the crowds were crazy. sad

I'm not super big on Alexisonfire, but I am quote a fan of Dallas Green as well, his solo stuff is amaaazing. I almost saw Alexisonfire at Warped Tour this year, but it started raining so they cancelled thier set.
As far as crazy moshes go, I've seen it all, haha, and probably been in the middle of it too. The only ones I really try to avoid are circle pits, because they get way too vicious, way too fast. Ugh. I love how pumped everyone gets. It's exhilarating.

OMG Seddy! I'm so happy that you weren't trampled! *huggles and puts meds on your toes* I hope they get to feeling better. And I'm glad you still enjoyed the concert none-the-less 3nodding

But I'm so fraile and weak I wouldn't last a second lol I've been to a coupel crazy shows like Dir En Gry is ALWAYS a crazy show lol With Kyo doing weird vocalizing on stage and people moshing. I always make friends because they watch my back xDDD Also, I have to say no one moshed at the judas priest/motorhead/Black Sabbath/Testament show which was DISAPPOINTING D= ; 3; But then again, chairs were in the way and SCREWED to the floor D;"
