Her head swayed slightly when she got this information, not quite sure how to take it, even though it was hard to really dismiss, he -was- standing there, talking to her, and he -was- bleeding out, and decomposing. She knew she was not crazy, that she was sure of, so the only thing left was that he was really what he claimed to be. "I used to hear stores" she started, still quietly "everyone said they were just stories" and she had been content in that. looking him over once again, her worry and uncertaenty fading away to take on a more interested, almost sad look as she studied him once again. "how?"

Pale, matte eyes surveyed Marrowmourn's face quietly as she spoke. The undead Di'Taki made no further movement... just merely studied her beauty in silence. His appreciation for her company could not be mistaken, although his understanding of emotion wasn't exactly up to par. He hoped she could feel his gratitude, because he was at a loss for words when it came to giving thanks.
"I am not sure," Morgr'un replied suddenly, his gaze shifting slightly toward his uncovered ribs momentarily. Looking back toward her, he moved his body so the ribcage could not be seen by her eyes. "I can only assume the cause of my death... and of my rising. The only passing words I've heard are of a necromancer no one has seen or heard from in years. Unfortunately, other Di'Taki are less apt to... speak with me."

Necromancer, there was a word that she had only heard in passing, she understood what it meant, but she had to take a moment to recall that meaning. someone who had the ability to rise the dead... yes, now that she remembered that she heard somewhere about someone being suspected of that power. "someone rose you" she said though barely under her breath, not expecting him to hear it. she tilted her head slightly, looking back up to him. he was hiding his rib cage now, something she felt a bit of a relief for, and gratitude. she wasn't looking to leave right now, but looking at him was somewhat fatiguing... perhaps she would get used to it. a curiosity that she had not felt in a long time had come forth, pushing her to ask even more questions "so you do not need to eat... to sleep?"

Another intriguing smile crossed his half-furred maw, but his eyes held no sparkle of delight. They were dull and dead... as if no emotion ever crossed them... as if every sign of life had been emptied from them years and years ago. "I do eat," he responded calmly, "Although my body is dead... it lives in its current state of death. In order to keep from... decaying, I still require nutrients." He shifted his weight slightly and shook his feathered head. "I do not need to sleep, however," Morgr'un told her finally. "It is not a luxury I can enjoy. Although I can decay and rot further... my body does not tire."
A chill breeze wafted across the midnight sea, tangling itself in his matted feathers, their colors occasionally choosing to shine in the moonlight. The tide drew closer as the moon continued to rise in the dark sky. Not a single star seemed to flicker in the distance... just a pitch black mass surrounded them, save the moonlight.

The darker it got, the bright her eyes glowed, allowing her to see more clearly in dim light, though everything was given an eerie bright glow, courtesy of the full moon She could his form was even more frightening in the darkness, though she sensed no sort of hostility from him, quite the opposite from the way he was looking at her. She felt her cheeks grow warm for some unknown reason, turning her head down, and shifting backward a little “The tide will be coming in soon” she spoke softly “the moon is full,”

Morgr'un studied her eyes with his own, entranced by the sparkle of emotions that crossed them from time to time. He wondered if the eyes he had left ever elicited such responses. Air released from his lungs in the form of a slight sigh, but it seemed forced and unnatural. The male glanced upward, pale green orbs brightening as the moonlight cascaded over them. Or... through them? The brightness didn't seem to disturb his pupils whatsoever.
"Is there somewhere you must be, Marrowmourn?" he asked her, a twinge of sadness in his tone. As he spoke, his head came down again so he could look at her, his pupils never changing. They were large and round, causing the rims of green to outline them in perfect circles.
For a male, he was quite large -- equating to about the size of a female Di'Taki. It made it easier for him to see Marrowmourn's face clearly, which he appreciated. She was obviously gorgeous and he wanted her. Wanted what out of her? He wasn't sure. But something told him that if she were to leave his side, whatever heart that resided within his chest would cease to exist.

She shook her head softly at his comment, glancing back to the forest for a moment, then shifting her gaze onto Morgr’un, she held back a shudder, he was frightening, but she didn’t feel danger from him, she was curious… would she ever get used to him. “Normally I return to my nest when it gets dark…” she answered softly. “But it is not dire” she finished. tilting her head a little, “do you have a place to stay?”
