Spoilers if you haven't seen Breaking Point.
So the Montreal Screwjob. I finally got to see one live...on my television. >.> I had to explain what happened to my brother he didn't get it. XD
For those of you who don't know back in 1997 Bret had one match left with the WWE before he turned to WCW. The WWE couldn't afford to keep him. He was scheduled to win his last match which was a title match. Near the end Shawn put Bret in the sharpshooter. The ref called for the bell even though Bret hadn't tapped out to it. I think Bret was oblivious to it. After the Ref called for the bell he ran as fast as he could to escape the shitstorm that was brewing. Afterwards Shawn took the title and stormed out. He didn't want to do something like that to win but he was forced to. Now we come to the present. Canada is still holding that 12-year grudge so to poke fun at it the WWE made the ending of Breaking Point into a remake of the classic Montreal Screwjob. Now about the ending of it. I enjoyed it and felt it was a great way to top off an otherwise shitty night. I was looking forward to the intercontinental match and hoping that we would see tons of more acrobatic moves. Jericho and Big Show won the same exact way, the fist. I support Jerishow but I feel they need to make Jericho more than just the tiny evil Genius behind the big terrible Giant. I like the fact that the DX and Legacy match went as far as backstage although I would like it if more matches went outside the Arena and into the streets and not just the parking lot. I faintly remember a match where the competitors went as far as this lake or something I think. They busted through the fence and went into the pool or something. Now onto the WWE title match. It was unrealistic and generic. Randy Orton keeps on beating Cena and he doesn't quit. Cena finds a second wind and battles back but hardly matches the beating Randy gave him. Then Randy gets put in the STF and loses the match. Yeah, great finish. rolleyes So now the final match. I lost interest up until the very end. I was considering giving up on the company until I saw Ted come out and restart the match. I was hoping something like that would happen. Some form of excitement then I saw the Montreal Screwjob. The icing on the cake. That brought up the night for me but they had the Undertaker look confused and dumbfounded when he's suppose to be always calm, cool, and collected. Anyway I guess I love it when things go hardcore and very surprising. Really the only surprising part was at the end. I give it 3/5 stars.
