Well, a few interesting things happened.
1. I realized that Chris is the thing behind Johnny on the bottom left of the first page. I had no idea what that was until now.
2. I was reminded that I really want to know more about Chris's childhood and Johnny's past.
3. I realized the guy crying on top of page 52 is Johnny ... and he was somewhere else too.
>w< Now, I'm off to reread volume 2~
Does rereading Vassalord help you understand it more also?

I must admit, it totally does! Every now and then, I like rereading it and seeing if there's anything I didn't pick up on the first go-through.
Unfortunately, I also caught a continuity error that plagues me every time I see it. )8 In the second volume, when Cherry is talking to Cheryl, his hand is destroyed. But a few pages later, it's perfectly fine again -- during the same conversation! It bothers meeeee. a;lskd
I still super want to know about Johnny's past, and how he and Chris came to be together again. She needs to do more!

Rereading definitely helps. I found that first volume so confusing that I wasn't going to buy the second one. But when I got to the end and read the story about little Chris and Rayflo, I reconsidered because it was just so cute. So I relented and I bought the second one. After I read it, I went back and reread the first volume. It made so much more sense and I enjoyed it a lot! Then I reread the second volume and that made a lot more sense too.
I think that Vassalord is a bit of a hard series to grasp onto at first because the first volume is just so confusing. It throws you into the action immediately and you feel like you've missed something. x_x But if you can get past that, it's a great series.

DarkSideDragon06 I really should read it. But I'll wait for to get volume 3. That's what I did. I waited for volume three before I started rereading.
