I know this will probably sound like a dumb question, but how does the role play games on Gaia work?

Well most people make up a character, what attributes that character has, weakness, whether they are human, another race, or a mixed breed, strengths, and then they pretend to have different scenario's of what where how when, and why. Like these examples.
