Physical Description: Rin is a young woman, fair-of-skin, pretty and well-endowed - she keeps her blond hair to just below the shoulder though usually wears it up in a high short ponytail. Assisting in keeping her hair up and out-of-the-way she wears a low-set band of off-white, wide and fairly thick from just above her eyebrows, dipping between her eyes at the lowest and bordering the crest of her skull at the highest. The tie of this cloth hangs to the base of Rin's neck leaving a space for the ponytail to remain visible while showing the crest, back and base of Rin's skull.

Rin's eyes are a dark color of brown, appearing black in most lights but under direct light show their true color of brown, a mixture of mahogany and almond, tinged with red at just the very edges.

Rin's shihakusho is customized though not too heavily, the kimono top is made in such a way that the sodetsuke is larger than the average with a diameter of nearly twenty centimeters. Consequently the sodegochi is as large while the furi is about the standard size, making it easy for Rin to slide her arms in and out of the garment. In total, the length of the "sleeve" is nearly eighty centimeters in length. The Fuki of the garment is only about twenty centimeters into the obi, making the ushiro-migoro a total of only about forty centimeters or so in length while the okumi end at a mere fifty-five centimeters.

The kimono top is held in-place and supported by an especially wide obi that runs from Rin's ribcage to her hips a total of nearly thirty-one centimeters and bears an off-white color, similar to the band worn around her head, though the obi appears closer to a shade of pale yellow when compared to the stark-white obi-sash worn around her abdomen as a second obi as per standard of the Shinigami uniform. Beneath her kimono, Rin wears a band of off-white identical to the one around her brow, meant to suppress and conceal her bust when the kimono top is shed for battle.

Rin's hakama are largely unaltered, their only modification from the original design is a lowered number of pleats, giving Rin's hakama more of a western appearance in pants, the number of pleats in her Hakama are exactly fourteen, a majority of them, nine of which occupy the center, allowing for a concealment of size while not restricting freedom of movement, the remaining five pleats expand and encircle Rin's legs.

The tabi and waraji Rin wear when applicable are altered in mostly color, the tabi are black, trimmed with a golden-brown color as per standard of the secret mobile corps while the waraji are simply dyed a more subtle tone of yellow, drifting closer to a shade of brown and are tied in a simple but secure manner to her feet, varying only slightly from the average shinigami method of tying their sandals.

Zanpakuto: On'yo and In'yo - besides their name, these twin blades are identified by their square guards and a tassel of either white or black hair bound to each respective tsuba On'yo has a bit of black hair tied to the point of the guard below the blade on the left side - while In'yo has a length of white hair tied to the point of the guard below the blade upon the right side. Their appearance aside however; it's unknown what power if any these two blades possess as of yet.

Special Accessories: Aside from the clothes used to bind her chest and cover her brow, Rin carries an assortment of useful items, they are as follows:

Sarashi - Bindings that can be used as tape, bandaging or even restraint in some extreme circumstances. Rin carries a length of 15.24 meters of Sarashi.

Needle and Thread - For battlefield stitching.

Sake - A pair of sturdy bottles filled with sake.

Shokuryou - Rations, usually only the bare essentials for longer trips, these are all carried in a Saban carried over Rin's right shoulder and looks similar to the Fourth-Squad's medical sashes.

A pair of udewa located on her arms just below both shoulders are engraved with the kanji symbol for "Strength" which gives Rin an added boost in raw strength.

Skills: Rin is agile and flexible though not particularly strong naturally, among Rin's specialties though are onigiri, tsuin-ookami, and Shishi-uta to name a few, though those are her only "named" techniques.

Personality: Rin is a leader, by her very nature, Rin's charisma and natural ability to draw to herself and lead others who both share her ideals and oppose them, nearly everyone Rin meets she either befriends or inspires at least a curiosity in. Bold, obstinate and ever-so-slightly possessive, the world is a simple place for Rin who sees most things in absolutes, people are either good or bad so far as Rin is concerned, though she defines these two extremes with her conscious and a limited knowledge of that person, first impressions are important with Rin, but not necessarily set-in-stone. Rin is also pansexual, she has no preference for man, woman or beast sexually - in short she's willing to do most anything that can please provided the circumstance fits the desire.

Biography/History: Like all souls, Rin was reborn after she died on Earth and similarly she recalls virtually nothing of her life on Earth, however; it's recorded and known that Rin originally came from northeastern asia, bordering China, Rin was the result of a taboo coupling of a European merchant and a local Chinese girl who later became his mistress. Rin was born and named Samantha Long, a tribute to both her Western and Eastern ancestries respectively and while her name varied depending upon the place she and her parents were at, she was still perceived as an ill-gotten child by all save her parents.

Five years after her birth though, Rin and her family were besieged by bandits, and after stealing from her parents what they could, they killed her Father and took her and her Mother both into custody where they were then sold as slaves. Already slightly ill, Rin's mother, Long Qin died almost immediately after their introduction to the cold, cruel world of slavery. Remarkably unaffected be it via shock or simple curiosity at her newest "home" Rin spent a majority of her young life in the hands of a benevolent if-slightly perverted older Spanish man who took advantage of Rin's exotic ancestry, using her as a display publicly and a plaything privately.

When she was seventeen, more than a decade had passed since the event in the mountains and Rin had come to enjoy the luxuries afforded a slave of her caliber, tragedy would strike again though when the old Spanish man perished from a heart-attack, and in the same motion set fire to his mansion burning it down and killing all inside, including Rin. A Soul Reaper though, drawn to the mass of souls buried Rin's spirit along with the other servants as well as their Master all about the same time.

When Rin was reborn, she was entrusted to the care of an elderly pair of wholes with a small group of two or three new spirits in their care already. Rin grew quickly and independent of her "parents" probably as a result of a psychological detachment from guardians due to her past life. As such, even from a young age, Rin was the first to volunteer herself and her "siblings" for adventures or chores, but conversely, was also the first to accept responsibility for those self-same adventures and mishaps as a result. Rin shouldered the weight of the family by the time she was twenty, though physically she was only about half that old, she provided for her Ryoka family by singing and doing a little bit of bounty-hunting, Rin never stole during her entire time in Rukongai, though it helped being allotted to the twenty-seventh Eastern district where life wasn't all-that-bad.

By the time Rin was sixty, the equivalent of nearly fifteen-years-old, she'd become a district leader and was looked to as one might look to an elder or superior for advise or troubles, and while she didn't have much in the way of experience giving advise, Rin was well-known to take the initiative and barter or fight for supplies necessary for survivial, she was a "turf" guardian, and so handled most of the territory disputes that the Shinigami didn't deem "large" enough to step in themselves for. It would come as no surprise that when she was in her early nineties that she was invited to the Academy with a pre-assigned rank in the Gotei 13 - while considered a huge honor, Rin declined but later applied to the Academy on her own a few years later.

Spending the average six years in the Academy, Rin graduated upon her one-hundred and second birthday and a double celebration was held in the company of Shinigami and Ryoka alike. Since, Rin has applied to several divisions, but has not yet gotten an acceptance form.

Powers:
Rin is simply agile and lithe, the bangles upon her arms grant her greater physical strength, and aside from a few named techniques that aren't guaranteed to work, Rin's greatest power is her sense of compassion for the weak and her resolve in her ability to protect them.
