Japanese Slang
Interesting site! This is the site for you if you just wanna take a break from the ol' textbook Japanese and take a look into colloquialisms, vulgarities, slang, and idioms used in Japan, mainly Tokyo I'd presume.

Casual Japanese
Not THE Japanese learners site, but it did help ME with some key aspects of Japanese that I never quite understood.

Kansai Translator
Definitely not a novice's choice site. It offers an actually pretty accurate translator that converts a gamut of Japanese words and phrases to their Kansai counterparts. Definitely the site to consider for the HOUGEN pursuer.

i found this on the internet when looking for the meaning of Arimasen, since it wasnt in my dictionary, and i ahd to have homework done by tommorrow. eek

its a nicely set up anime dictionary, short but sweet.
