"I will," R'than grinned back, "I'll see you around the place A'ras, let me know if I can do anything for you." Hold women weren't quite the same as fellow riders, but female riders were hard to come by around here; he would just have to compromise.

"Just so long as you do not compromise your honor," Garith put in softly, "I am not sure about that one Mine. He has no respect, no restraint."

"I know, I know," R'than sighed slightly and went back to eating. "Z'ven doesn't have a lot of restraint and you like him," he pointed out, "I know A'ras behaved... well, in a manner we don't approve of but under the circumstances I think he can be forgiven. well, he can now we're out of it anyway."

"Humm. Yes. I suppose the circumstances were not normal. Very well, I am prepared to give him a chance to prove himself a good rider."

"Thank you," R'than smiled as he finished the last of his food, "I think all we transfers need to give one another a good chance. If we can stick together we'll do better... Until we have to choose allies for ourselves." He wasn't looking forward to that in the least, but he had a while before he needed to make a choice yet, he hadn't even really worked out how the system worked yet. That, he decided as he turned his bowl in at the serving hatch, was the first order of business. Decision made, the grey-haired rider strode out of the dining hall; he had enquiries to make.
