"Come on down baby, please?" Ul sighed, standing in the middle of the path with her hands on her hips. There were a few people brushing by her, but she was locked in postion, staring up at the object of her pleas, her twelve year old son in all of his proud little glory, balancing himself on top of a string of brightly colored plastic flags. Normally, she would have given up by now and left him to explore the street fair by himself. But she hadn't for two reasons, one, she was expecting a friend to be along shortly, and two, she didn't really trust a lot of the people here, or Teagan for that matter, he could easily decide he wanted to walk a tightrope or something and be swept up with them when they packed up to leave! He was coming down one way or another.
Tea stood up straight on the thin wire, flicking his tail every so often to steady himself. "Momma! I'm fine, it's no big deal." He called, lifting one foot up and out straight, relishing the little rush it always gave him to be doing something she considered dangerous. She was wound up too tight, he on the other hand, was like one of those rides, always spinning out of control. He lived for it. It was kind of hard to swing his arms around with a sweater on though, so he stripped it off, tying it around his waist carelessly, an act that raised another rant from his mother.

Being a man of little worries (more or less), M didn't really mind the pickpockets and greedy carnie-folk, as they could easily be avoided or ignored. However, the bit that was bothering him right now was how to find Dul in the midst of this crowd. Not only were there many people to get lost amongst, and not only had M been forced to walk behind this rather large wall of a man for the past fifteen minutes (he cleared a path in the people), but Mort was half-napping on his shoulders and his arms were proving to be effective sight impediments. That and M's lack of a Portable Nagging Device (i.e: cellphone) hindered further Dulcea locating.
It was times like this when he seriously considered signing up for one of those Cellphone plans like everyone kept telling him to. If he had, he could just call up Dul and say "Hey, it's Ruka, where are you?" and Bam! There she'd be.
But noooooo. Had to be a rebel.
...A monitarily deficient rebel...
Mort was, although not showing it very much, thoroughly enjoying himself. Da made a very good pony, in his opinion, no matter how slow, and there were a lot of interesting people around to look at. For example, there was the big man in front of them in whose bald and shiny head Mort could see the reflections of lights and colorful decorations. Then there were the ladies in the colorful, feathery costumes in front of that tent over there, and that other lady with the big cat! Mort's attention was captured by her and her tiger for an even twenty-six seconds until he spotted a boy balancing on a rope a couple yards away, which was, in Mort's honest opinion, too high off the ground but still looked like a big amount of fun.
"Buh!" He said, and reached a small hand out, enthralled by the boy's poofy tail.
M blinked and glanced up, grinned upon spotting Teagan and made his way in that direction.
"Having trouble?" He asked Dulcea upon arrival.

She gave a week smile, brushing her bangs out of her face, "Just a bit. He's not usually... Who am I kidding, he's a lunatic." This comment earned her a bit of a rude face from Tea, but she chose to ignore it. Instead, she turned her full attention to M and Mort, "I see the little one's sprouting up like a weed. He's adorable. How've you been?"
Tea dropped into a crouching position, pressing his ears down against his head when she started to ignore him. He shivered a bit, just realizing that it was a bit chilly now that he had shed his sweater. Maybe that wasn't the best retaliation. Oh, there was another toddler there, with something funny sticking out of his head. He slipped his feet down off the wire, popping just enough of the anchors on it that he almost at eye level with the boy when he hung himself upside down, "Hi there!"

"I've been alright. Not getting much sleep lately," M admitted, grinning a bit. "Got a job at the newspaper and been up writing all night. This one's a darling though, hardly cries at all or anything."
Mort, meanwhile, still rather enraptured with the boy on the wire, seemed pleased enough when he came down low enough to touch. "Ummm," He said in a serious manner as a greeting and reached out, taking a hold of, first, Teagan's nose and then opted for the more fuzzy ear.
"I'm worried about that crack, though," M continued with a little frown. "Just got here and already he has something to resent me for."

Ul gave a bit of an evil smile, she remembered not being able to sleep much, juggling things, shoot, that happened now too. Upon closer inspection of the boy, she finally noticed the rather large crack on the boy's face. "Whoa, that's something alright. Ah, well, Tea could be mad at me for a lot of things, but he's not. At least I think not." She didn't seem phased by the fact that her son was hanging upside down from a flimsy wire.
Tea started to yank himself away, but decided this little one could hold his ear if he could touch the stem on his head. So, as if making the deal all by himself, he reached out and set his hand on the side of the green stem, showing the boy a cheerful smile, "My name's Teagan Elliot, I'm your cousin I guess!"

"Yeah, well." He sighed slightly and attempted to peek up at the two kids, for a moment considered de-attaching Mort from Tea's ear but, as it didn't seem to be much trouble, changed his mind. "He doesn't seem to mind much yet. It isn't bothering him much, at least."
"Mour," said the smaller one in introduction, at the same time attempting to turn his head and look up to see what Teagan was doing with his stem. He gave up after a few moments of wiggling and rested his chin on M's head, pulling gently on Teagan's ear.
His brow furrowed slightly in frustraation. He wanted to hang upside down too! He looked up at Teagan's feet from over his sunglasses. "Bah!" He whined, reaching up with one hand to the wire and pulling harder on Teagan's ear with the other. "Buuuaahhh!"

Ul smiled, "Well that's good at least." She looked up at the fuss curiously, not quite sure what was going on, "Tea, what did you do? Let go of him!"
Teagan rolled his eyes, letting go of the stem while the boy yanked on his ear. Oh, the little one wanted to hang upside down too! He started to reach for him, but stopped himself, thinking it might upset his mother. "Momma, can he come up with me? I promise I won't drop 'im." This got a bit of a groan from his mother, which he took as a yes, lowering himself down to where he could grip the boy's waist, though he waited for a comment from his father. It'd be bad to tick him off already.

M looked up at Teagan, then attempted to get a look at Mort who, even from this angle, didn't seem to be much against the idea.
"Well," He said, frowning a little. Mort took this as a yes, apparently, because he grabbed on to Teagan's hair and said something that sounded like 'mop.' "Okay," he sighed. "But don't go up too high. Just right here, so I can catch him."
"Mop," Mort said again.

With a grin and a quick "Yes sir", Teagan pulled the boy up into the air and turned him around so that he was upside down, being held against the lemur's shoulder. True, it would have been safer for Tea to come down off the wire then go back up, but this was more fun, and he was strong enough from his gymnastics training that he didn't worry about dropping the younger boy. It was just like carrying Eva afterall, though this boy seemed a big bigger and heavier, but not much.
Ul watched the interaction curiously, she wasn't usually around when Teagan was playing with the others. Most of this behavior was foreign to her, as the other kids at home didn't let him play with them very often. "Don't worry," She tried to assure him, though she wasn't sure herself, "Tea will come back when I call if they go to far."
