hehe, i actually did the artrage part of it a long time ago (maybe...2-3 years?)

spork had already drawn the lines so i was just painting colors at that point. i really like the amount of color variation and texture that results simply from using the brushes and palette knife. i also really like the responsiveness and smoothness of it, and the simple but effective interface. at the time it was the only painting app i was aware of that used hardware acceleration for zooming, rotating etc and still feels much smoother than painting in photoshop.

on the other hand, i found it hard to get a very finished, refined look. it seems better suited to a more loose, natural painting style than your standard clean "cg". we ended up finishing the painting in photoshop anyway, though i did use ditlev's watercolor brushes to keep with the natural brush feel.

haha wow. I remember seeing these lines a long time ago. I didn't think that I would like the glowy look the first time I glanced over it, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it.
