Hello everyone. I have attempted to make a team out of my favorite pokemon, and would love if I could here suggestions from some of the awesome players here. As you can see, the team sucks. A lot of the movesets are standard, and I'm pretty sure there are a number of people who could tear through the team. Be as brutal as you must. I'm a big boy, I can take it. I only request that you just don't say, "lol this team sucks" and not offer anything constructive (that seems to happen a lot...), and that you not ask me to change the pokemon... I mean look at cute lil' Mamoswine. 4laugh

Anyways...

Analysis:

Yanmega (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 104 Def/154 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Psychic

My lead? I've used him before, and he's actually really good. Protect for speedboost, Bug Buzz + Airslash for STAB, and Psychic because Hypnosis's accuracy got cut down in platinum.

Venusaur (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Bomb

If Bulbasaur was usable, he would be in here...

This guy is actually pretty useful, much to my surprise. I mainly use him to annoy. Sleep Powder usually hits, and when/if it does, I leech seed and proceed to spam my other two STAB moves. The only thing I don't like about him is how vunerable (sp?) he is to a lot of different types. Someone suggested I use his elemental hyper beam, but I don't like those at all... xD;

Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

Mamo, my CBer. I love this guy. I mainly use his priority, but I would be lying if I said that the other three moves haven't helped me.

Umbreon (M) @ Chople Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/166 Spd/92 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Mean Look
- Baton Pass
- Wish
- Protect

Standard Trap Pass set. I'm kind of iffy on this set, since it's OU to the max (lol, like everything else on this team).

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Crunch
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed

An awesome SD sweeper, I love him. This guy has bailed me out a numerous amount of times.

Typhlosion (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 144 Atk/112 Spd/252 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Eruption
- Overheat
- Focus Punch
- Earthquake

If it weren't for his shallow special moveset, I can honestly see this guy being OU. Awesome speed plus eruption makes him one a valuable asset to my team. Focus Punch has thrown off a lot of other players who think they can switch in a Blissey on me (can't count how many times that has happened), and I can't honestly say I have used Overheat. Maybe EQ, but Eruption is the main move I use.

Serebii does have another moveset for Venusaur, it looks like you could do some damage with it.
Venusaur @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) / Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Sludge Bomb
- Swords Dance
- Sleep Powder / Substitute / Synthesis

(Earthquake sounds pretty good. I'd take out sleep powder (with my experiences the pokemon only sleeps for like one or two turns before it wakes up and even then it doesn't always hit. Evil move, it hates me XD), but that's just me.)

Also, swords dance or another type of stat enhancer wouldn't be too bad for Umbreon since it has baton pass. That wouldn't be a bad strategy seeing as Umbreon tends to be a wall in battle.

Anyway, I only got up to Leaf Green, so I can't really say much for the newer pokemon, and I don't have cyndaquil yet. Once I train a Typhlosion I'll give you a status report XD. Though, I'd say kill Overheat. It lowers Sp Attack, right? Not really worth it... Maybe a Sunny Day to increase that Eruption?

In my honest opinion?

You should take out Overheat (you say you never use it anyway), and replace it with something practical, powerful, and accurate, that also compliments his nature/talents. I suggest Flamethrower; good overall.

Assuming (m) means male, I would suggest retraining female versions. Being an all male team, they all are vulnerable to attract. Though honestly I don't know of much people that use that move. Otherwise its a great team.
