What Are Official Titles?
First and foremost, they are completely optional! You're not required to have an official title in order to roleplay your taur. It will never cost you anything to earn a general title. It's purely for fun and for those who'd like to be more involved with it Cein Isles.
Official titles are just that, profession titles earned by questing. For example, if you are keen on playing your taur as a musician then (if the quest is available to earn it) you may roleplay to be officially known throughout the Isles as a Musician. There are other titles you can earn as a bonus, as well, based on how well you quest and how much fun you have.
How To Apply
Taurs may apply at any time, there is no due date or deadlines. These are year round. All quests for earning a title are placed in the Journals subforum of this guild. Directions on formatting are available for each title you wish to earn.
Title quest entries must be on their own thread! You may link to that thread later in your existing taur journal (the place where you actually display your taurs) later should you successfully earn your title.
There is no limit to the amount of titles a taur may earn, but please be aware that for each additional title your taur will have to work harder to earn it. As in real life, it takes time and effort to reach more than one goal. For more information, please see the section marked "Title Scaling".
Title Scaling
The plus sign means "or more", meaning the number is the minimum requirement and you are allowed to post more than the minimum if you desire.
1st Title - 400+ words
2nd Title - 550+ words
3rd Title - 800+ words
4th Title - 1,000+ words
5 or More Titles - 2,000+ words each
Quest Formatting
Each quest will require that your words be comprised of different things, obviously. Based on what you're questing, you'll be asked to write about different subjects.
Each quest tells you what it wants you to title your subject line. Any quests that are mislabeled will NOT be read!
Writing styles will primarily be third person narratives. (ex: "She walked the dog easily.") Please do NOT quest using asterisks to portray your actions! (ex: *walks the dog easily*) That is acceptable for thread RP but not for quests! First person narratives are also acceptable. (ex: "I walked the dog easily.")
If your quest thread is in the works, please suffix it (add to the end of it) [WIP], brackets and all. Example: [Quest] Syrcaid's Title [WIP]. That way people will know it is a work in progress.
