I had never heard of them until a few months ago, and they seem to fit the behavior of the entities in my home. I don't know much about them aside from the fact that they have mass and they were never human. I could have the second part wrong, though.

Well, I think the name for that would be poltergeists. And they come from human energy. they are entities that feed off of human emotion. Emotions omitt energy feilds. But, most poltergeists result in emotional distress and traumatic events that the victim has witnessed.

no shadow creature i have ever seen has acted like a poltergeist. the ones at my house arent really human looking at all, more catlike, and just bounce around the room, almost like they are playing, but they seem a bit skiddish. im not sure if your showdow people are anything like the shadow creatures i have at my house so you could be talking about something very different from what ive got

Poltergeist activity, almost by definition, has to have a physical effect on the environment. Things moving is the most common characteristic of poltergeist activity. I've never heard of any accounts where shadow people move things around so I'm less inclined to believe that they are the same thing.
