Why have abrahamic religions spread so far and so fast?
I mean they are now the leading religious group and yet 1000 or 2000 (im probably wrong on those numbers but you get my point) years ago they were one of the smallest groups with almost the etnire planet being polythiestic or monotheistic? And i have nightmares about every other religion on the planet being removed or slowly wiped away (except a few other major religions). I know that my religion was the first religion to be erased due to them sad but how many others? How much history has been lost becuase of those religions, how many more people are going to die under "gods" name and yes i realize that other religions are also warlike but at least its not major ever present re-acurring event with them, and how many more things are going to be denied becuase it goes against those religions, i mean come on what about abortion as an example, youre going to stop a 15 year old girl from killing the baby that will ruin her life? or someone who has been raped? there are so many things i dont like, that and if i could id erase those religions just like you did to so many others *cough* anyone remeber the druids, brittain might still be polythiestic if the romans and christians had not destroyed that idea
now i am far from complete in saying everything i want to say but those are my fears and doubts and a few of my questions,

And different people have different views - the abortion thing, for instance, is not agreed upon by every Christian. People like controlling others. It's simple as that, and the Church was a way to do that early on and it's doing a damn good job of that today.

How i wish those leaders had stayed athiest or polythiestic
but the goverment is full of people who are against allllot of things, and guess what those beliefs are biased becuase of there religion, that and almost every kid i know that is christian etc is ant- homosexual in fact the saying " Adama and Eve not Adam and Steve" has been coined at my school stare
i really dont like manipulative religions, i guess every religion is manipulative but my religion is far less then most

First of all if the 15 year old is preggo and not ready an responsible for a kid than its her own fault and what if your mother aborted you because she was young you would be dead.
Second of all i don't know what your implying by the raped comment because i was rapped at the age of 11 and i told my parents and they were extremely supportive and comforted me through everything.
And Yes Im A Christian and my dad is actually a pastor :]

im all for abortion if the girl cannot support the baby or does not want it
and its her fault that she got pregnant, she needs to take responsibility and think about how she will ruin her and the childs life if she trys to take care of it.
im very sorry that you were raped, and i hope that the eprson who did that pays ten fold in his next reincarnation

what the first guy said is correct. My opinion about abortion is that although it's highly unmoral in my opinion, is a personal decison(unless the birth would cause the mother's death, which wouldn't be that hard a choice to make). I would also like to add to what the first poster is saying,
It's called cultural evolution, everyone knows that no culture, when faced with contact with other nations and being hit by natural disasters, WILL eventually change to suit the present's demands.

The rape comment simply means, what if you were raped and became pregnant due to the rape? Should you not be allowed to get an abortion then?
Then that pregnancy has nothing to do with the girl being irresponsible and say, a 15 year old, may have a child forced on her because she was raped and not allowed to get an abortion.
That is the argument being presented there, to clarify.
