Lord Rowen walked into the room and looked around.
"Hmm, how interesting."
The way he looked at it, this new mansion of his would house a great family of vampires. One of the eldest surviving vampires and also one with some considerable power, Rowen was sure his new family would be better than the last. After all, any family is better than one that is dead.
People had to learn that they had a place in this world, or he would help them find their place in the next.
(Accepting Applications for Partner, 2 Children, 3 Knights, and a Jester. Also various pets.)

Voro slithered in from the door way. "You are new, welcome to our clan. I will be your welcoming committee until you feel at home here."

Angellus looks to the person standing in his doorway.
"Funny, I do not remember asking for a welcoming commitee. Nevertheless here you are, so come in and sit awhile." It is the polite thing to do. Would you like a brandy?"
Angellus slides over to the liquor cabinet and pours a glass for himself and the new visitor. Tonight is a nght for celebration.
"I am a new person, well you know what I mean. Tonight life starts again."

He accepted the invitation and sat waiting for his brandy. "Within these walls I am afraid it cannot happen. There is no turning aloud on the grounds of the clan. It is law. I am sorry."

"Oh now kind sir, you have mistaken my words. This is a new life for me, and people will be turned, but I would never do so on the grounds of my new living."
Rowen gave the man his brandy and turned to stare out the window at the moon.
"Have you ever seen anything so beautiful? The moon reminds me that even though I am immortal, there are things I will never touch or feel. Like the sun's rays, or experience the wonder of finding a true love. All toys you see my kind sir, the world is but our playground."
Rowen chuckled softly to himself and smiled to the visitor. He knew life would be different, he only hoped it would be for the better.

Lord Rowen looked to this intruder now with some distaste, clearly he was not a civilized man.
"You seem to misunderstand me, we can WATCH the sunset and sunrise. But we will never truely appreciate it. We know we will see it again, and again and again. Everyday melds into another. A mortal looks at a sunset and not everytime, but once and awhile, they see it as if it was for the first time. For most of them, one day it will be their last."
Rowen was growing bored of the stranger.
"I tire now, I am going to slumber, please let yourself out when you are finished your brandy."
Rowen walked to the staircase and began climbing the stairs to his room. At least he had one comfort.

He was sipping his brandy when he caught the vampire's thoughts. "Be weary Vampire. When you have lived a life like my own, you come to appreciate everything, the sun most of all. I have lost much to that wretched star and I don't intend on forgetting or down sizing its importance to the humans as well as this world. I find your knowledge-lacking judgement disconcerding." He finished his drink, willed the glass to its rightful spot and began to move to the door. "Sleep well. Perhaps we can have abetter day tomorrow." With that he left the Vampire to his slumber.
