I was curious if anyone ever felt as if they needed to escape the insanity of the posting that is on Gaia. I enjoy being able to relax and relate with many people in this guild, and sometimes other parts of Gaia seem to much.
I do enjoy all the different views though, and I end up learning something new everyday. I hope I do not seem to rash for thinking the above mentioned.

I sometimes feel that with all of the posting thats the same and the occasional ______ is better/vs ________. There are some threads that I like but they don't update enough.

I can and do escape the insanity of Gaia. I'm part of a few other forums on the net which are not nearly as populated and are more specialized (not to mention harbouring a population with expanded cognitive abilities).

Tsssss xp Yeah sometimes I just give up on gaia. My uni's forum is great too and they're all smart. Mostly.

Sometimes I'm just not here. Or anywhere online.
It's the easiest way to deal with things.

So many threads about the same people. Youd think they would have a low attention span, but its quite the opposite. My escape from Gaia consists of *gasp!* not going on Gaia! Whodathunk.

Definitely! Recently I haven't been on Gaia much because I've been on E-Sangha, a Buddhist forum on the internet. I really don't post much in most of Gaia anymore anyway because the preschoolers can get really annoying at times when they think they know more than you, even though they're basing all their assertions on stuff they learned from Rouroni Kenshin for example.

I often times just avoid the main forums, the senseless topics, repeating threads, and the idiots posting on them. People seem tightly wound up on public forums, like they're just waiting for you to type something to set them off. It's very obnoxious to post your thoughts and then have someone go into defensive mode about it.
To escape I tend to find a few niches that I'm comfortable in. I have a guild (other than this one) that I belong to and spend a lot of my time. It's a smaller setting and the people are more relaxed.
But even with a small haven inside gaia I sometimes need to just escape the clutches of the internet, so I simply find other things to do.

Yeah I have seen some threads where people saw an anime and think they know philosophy.

Yeah .. xD I've pretty much abandoned the nutters in the forums like "Entertainment" ect ..
Of course I still love peeking in to see what's new in the Lord of the Rings section. blaugh
But I really love the atmosphere in this place. ^^ Everyone is so kind and laid back, intelligent and understanding ..
And I've gotta say, Mages Shade, that your avatar is the most adorable thing I think I've ever seen. XD *Adores*

I've found that recently, a good percentage of my posts are made in guilds. I rarely touch the public forums these days.
