Story:
Zack, one of the fighers in DOA tournament games. Ends up hitting the jackpot in a cassino. Using the money he won he created his own island and sends an invite to all the DOA tournament girls to come to a DOA tournament held on Zack island.
Only afterward, when they arrive they realize that it's a trick and no tournament is being held. Having already arrived and it's a 2 week stay. The girls take a 2-week vacation on Zack island.
Gameplay:
In the main screen when you begin you can choose from the selective few of DOA girls. One new character has been added named Lisa as well.
On the first play through you are introduced to another player (lisa) who gives a short tour of the island and your 1st volleyball game. Volleyball games require two characters. But if it's your 2nd play through you can start without the auto partner and find your own. However you cannot play volleyball unless you have a partner.
Volleyball Games:
Must have a partner. You can partner with any other DOA girls. However first you have to gain their liking so there friends and will join you in games. Winning helps the characters like you more as well as giving them gifts. Losing too many times can decrease your partners liking of you.
You can tell their feelings by the character pic. They have 'like', 'dislike' 'confident'.
This also determines how well they play with you.
Various Moves:
You can surf (2 ways), Spike, tap, pass, block, save in the game.
Giving Gifts:
You can give gifts to over girls. Giving gifts increase their liking or dislike towards you, which allows you to later partner with them or even receive random gifts from them! Some characters like more things than others. Some even really dislike certain items. In DOA extreme 1, it's easy to tell what a character like's b/c most the time it's based off their favorite color. For bathing suits, some girls hate certain styles than others.
Shopping:
You can buy swimsuits, accessories, and random items (located at Zack of all trades). All of these items when purchased can be kept for your character or be gift wrapped upon purchase for another character.
Pool:
When you have nothing to do and want to make some DOA money to purchase items you can visit the pool. Here you can see cut scene events where your character relaxes or you can play 'pool hop'. Sometimes other characters may be there and you can verse them.
Random areas:
There are certain places on the island that you can play volleyball with other characters in. Sometimes these areas are empty or have a random girl there. If they're empty you can vie a cut-scene with your character there. If there's another girl there you have a choice to gift her or request to be partners.
Hotel:
At the end of the day (Game phase is: Morning/Afternoon/Evening) you should see this option only. Player has a choice of:
*Playing at the casino
*Seeing/placing items in your inventory
*Watching videos (random gifts from Zack)
*Collect gifts (from zack randomly or girls)
*Go to bed (this starts the next day
*Leave Zack island (this is only available on your 2nd playthrough. You can leave early and play the game as another character instead of having to finish 2 weeks with the character you currently have)
Characters:
Kasumi- Run-away ninja.
Ayane- Rival of Kasumi. Her 1/2 sister.
Christie- Assasin who partispated in DOA to kill Helena.
Helena- Daughter of the owner of DOA tech.
Lisa- Friend of Tina and Zack's current girlfriend.
Tina- Friend of Lisa and wrestler wanting to be a model.
Hitomi- Energetic karate girl.
LeiFang- Tai Chi master.

It's a fun game. Graphics were good although I think the anatomy on the girls bust size is ridiculous. The volleyball was fun and I enjoyed the various swimsuits you can dress your character up in although some can be odd. The partner and Ai's weren't bad and giving gifts was a good idea too. I like how it was realistic almost with the girls getting a tan if you don't use sunscreen.
