1. How can one use Magnetic Web (Tempest artifact, common) to it's full potential?

2. What the hell does Temporal Distortion do?

There will most likely be more questions in the future....

2. Temporal Distortion bascially says whenever you tap a permanent, put a counter on it that makes that permanent unable to untap during the untap phase, and then take the counter off during upkeep.

1. Takes too much effort to make it good in my opinion xp

2. Seems kinda stupid IMO....

New question: Aside from being able to generate a whole lot of mana with a Goblin deck with Brithstone Ritual and some Skirk Prospector (To be turned into some serious X damage), what could Standardize be used for?

New question: Why does Panacea have two "X" mana costs in it's ability? Is it a typo?

No. You have to pay XX so if you pay 1 mana for one x you have to do so for the other. So if you want to prevent say, 4 damage you'd have to pay 8 mana, 4 for one X, 4 for another. Orochi Hatchery and Decree of Justice are other cards with XX.

remember.. in cases like "Orochi Hatchery" the cost for it is considered zero. sense (X) is zero until whatever (X) reprasents is 'payed for'.

like in the case of Orochi Hatchery, you can bring it out for free without paying any mana to cover the cost of (X). whitch brings out a cruel weapon of destruction if it is combined with cards that can add charge counters on it (like an energy chamber). think of what you can do with paying no mana into a "Orochi Hatchery" and use it to do considerable problems to your opponit.

ever thought of useing it agenst your opponit by useing cards like twiddle, or a icy minuiplator(AKA. icy) to tap there cards. think about it... there cards cannot untap, no matter what until your next upkeep. there cards would be out of commition for 2 turns basically! lots of potential for makeing it so you can come back and beatdown your opponit if he has everything tap'd.

Temporal Distortion isn't bad...but for one more mana you could summon a Yosei. Same lockdown effect when it dies with the bonus of a big dragon. (Of course you'd have to be playing partially white)

Don't forget that Distortion also hurts you...your permanents get counters. In effect you're giving your opponent the extra turn if you tap out your mana to tap them out...they get the uptap step with no counters first.

He makes a good point, since it affects your permanents to it is a double edged sword.

Combine it with many of the cards in Onslaught block that counts goblins or elves or zombies in play for huge effects.

Standardize? Use it with Peer Pressure
Magnetic Web? Put a magnet counter on something that you know your opponent would never attack iwth like soul warden to make it attack. Really good in white decks where you could use something like chastise with it. or if youre doing black, no mercy.

things like magnetic web can realy make blocking a difficult task, if you give a powerfull creature of yours, or just any other 'fighter' kind of creature of yours a magnet counter and another on something like Wellwisher..and your aponent usualy wont want a weak creature with good abilatys dieing, so they might be forced into desperate moves that could cost them the game.

as for temperal distortion you could use some things such as Chisei, Heart of Oceans, which needs counters on your things to be sacrificed and its a 4/4 flying for four mana. combining that with tappers like twiddle and your aponent will suddenly become verry slow and you with only minor inconveniances.

i know that these were answered before, but i felt that i could add some usefull things to them

a temporal distortion and an eon hub would completely screw a game over... hmmm... On both sides... That would really suck... FOR EVERYONE!

Yeah, if you want to tap permanents just play Opposition or Yosei.
