Can you see me now? See my heart break?
Help me please, that's all I ask.
I'm falling down, into the dark
I need you before I disappear.

I can see your pain, it's in your eyes.
What do I do, that's all I ask.
How do I help you, before you're gone?
How do I make your heart soar?

I'm falling, I'm crashing, I'm bleeding, I'm dying.
Stitch up my wounds with the strings of your heart.
Lift me up, carry me away.
This depression is taking over.

What do I do, oh what can I do?
I see you falling to pieces before me.
Do I run and tell, or do I keep silent?
It breaks me apart to see you like this.

My mirror is shattered, shards all over the floor.
The image of perfection has gone to pieces.
I'm away from it now, far away.
Why didn't you help me, my love?

You're suffering is done, you are gone for good.
My pain is just beginning.
Here is your flower, watered with tears.
I'm sorry I didn't help you, my love.

My love, I see you, fading away.
Will you come back? Who's to say?
I loved it when we used to sway
Together in a dance.

Come back to me now, end this heart ache.
Do you fear this emptiness that's starting to take?
I loved when you said it would all be for my sake
When you held me in your arms.

See the flag
It rises
Above the smoke and fog
There is no breeze
It doesn't move
But hearts are soaring under it

See the eagle
He flies high
Coaxing pride and love of country
Below him lies
The battlefield of dead
Men who died for him

See the people
They stand
Together and strong forever
They are different
And yet the same
United States of America

Just go away, leave my heart. I want you around but I don't. You are a friend, but it hurts me, not that you can tell.

Ah, my heart aches when I see you smile, when I hear your laugh. Although, it makes me happy when it's caused by me.

Can't you tell what I'm going through? Or do I need to be more obvious? Do I want to be more obvious? Do I want you to know?

Oh, go away, I can't stand this! You're off with other people, leaving me alone. Jealousy overcomes me when you're with her.

By the way, I'll support you, whatever you choose, just give me some time to empty you from my heart. Give me some time to heal.

Go away.

The river was rising, the banks they were overflown.
The boats were bobbing and swaying in the wind.
Nothing to hold on to, nothing to save them
But the fastening ties of the long yellow rope.

The thunder was pealing, the lightning was dancing
Across the indigo dark sky of night.
Two little boys lay huddled in darkness,
Praying for the strength of the long yellow rope.

Every crack left the sheep in a frenzy of fear.
They leaped all around and could not stand still.
The vengeful waters took them away;
Sweeping them away from that long yellow rope.

Another crack of the lightning and a boom of thunder
Caused trees to fall with a terrifying crash.
The merciful goddess lowered the waters
And saved her people and their long yellow rope.

The sun came out on a still quiet day.
The river trickled by, once again tame.
The sheep they were counted, and the people relieved.
No one was gone from the long yellow rope.

The Game
He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
They’ve played this game for awhile now.
Into the darkness of uncertainty it throws.

He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
It’s a loving hatred that neither understands.
They’ll say not a word, but everyone knows.

He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
Around them is chaos of couples and ‘love.’
Into the darkness of uncertainty it throws.

He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
Their game breaks their hearts, but they won’t stop.
Destined for love, but apart their soul grows.

He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
The game is taking its toll on their time.
Into the darkness of uncertainty it throws.

Simply friends, that’s all they say.
So easily does their acting flow.
He knows that she knows and she knows that he knows.
Into the darkness of uncertainty it throws.

God, Was I a Fool
by: Luvd_n_forgotten

My eyes water as I'm alone once again
How did my life end up like this?
Then I think back
Farther back
Deep into my uncouisous mind
Back to my childhood
God, my childhood
I was always the crazy girl
The wild one
Always wore black
And always had you
You were the complete opposite
Quiet and serene
Calm as the wind on a summer day
Totally contrasting to my throbbing heart
All the words you said had meaning
Had thought
Had feeling
God, do i miss it
God, do i miss you
Now my title as "best friend"
And hope this love wasn't just unrequiented was taken away
All because of her
She was cute
Yeah, Real cute
Cause she turned you against me
In a matter of days I was your enemy
Her fake, precious smile charmed you
While I was pyshically and emotionally beaten
You believed her over me
So I gave in
I admitted I did wrong
And out my life you went
In the end I was the bad guy
The villian
But I can't lie anymore
I thought we had something special
You know i really loved you
God, did it hurt
God, do i wish i had you back
But i guess you never really knew me
Because I'd be damned before I hurt you
I'd wish death before that
God, were you wrong
So
So wrong
Now i hear she broke your heart
And I should sit here and laugh
But by God, you know, I still love you
Even after all these years
After all all my pain and hurt
After my tears just stop coming
And now all I'm left saying is
God, was i a fool.

Yu lik? Please comment!

This is a poem of mine, a silly one, inspired by the Chesire cat from Alice in Wonderland.

Lose something did you?
Can't find a way out?
Maybe I can be of some help
Don't let my grin deceive you
I can guide you through this labyrinth
Even if you're the one who created it...
Oh, can you not see, this is all just a dream
But you are lost in your own world
In a forest of walking trees and flowers that laugh
Please listen, and listen carefully,
Curiousity killed the cat
I tried to warn you
Now you might just be trapped, and you'll pay your price
This world is strange, it's unlike many have ever seen
Very...odd to say in the least
Be on your guard, little girl,
Your sanity is at stake
Oh, I'm not a cruel thing, don't offend me
After all, dear one, I know the way back home
So treat me nicely
You'll get your reward
And you will never see my twisted face again
Sweet one, innocent one,
If you cannot tell, then I shall tell you
"We're all mad here."

A toast of liquor.
A shot wine.
A glass of brandy.
And you are mine.
The burn I am and shall be,
for Earth and sky cannot, will not, change me.
And as I travel down your throat.
down its river like a boat.
Up and up your mind will rise, until your dead,
bleeding eyes....

You said you'd be there,
I just have to look,
You're always somewhere,
In a strangers smile,
In a close friends laughter,
It's all around me now,
I see it even after,
It's still so hard,
I can barely breath,
You promised me,
You'd never leave,
Now you're gone,
So what I'm alive,
Without you to hold me,
How long will I survive?

So ******** true it isn't funny.
You're my new best friend. =/
