If you've been on hormonal birth control, what is/was your preferred method? ninja

The only hormonal method I have been on was Depo. I liked being well protected, and I liked not having to take a pill every day. But I would not recommend it to anyone now because of the side effects. So I don't think I can really pick a favorite hormonal method.

IUDs are the most effective, but hella expensive.
I take the pill and it's not my favorite but it's better for me than the others.

I feel more comfortable using the regular condom. Once I thought about going on the pill but there were soooo many side effects. I do NOT need to gain more weight. Its basically pregnancy without the baby. That's torture!!
