I tried out one of those new 30 watt epiphone amps and it was a little bit muffly. But it has some good reverb, chorus, and a nice rock distortion. Its a good amp to just jam out some blues and maybe some light rock.
But like I said its a bit muffly. 3nodding But its around 150 or so.

The 10w tube (Galaxie 10) is a great amp, but you MUST replace the tubes when you get it, or suffer a very harsh sound. That would sety you back far more than the amp is worth, i would imagine.
Go for the Orange man, i wanna know what they're like wink

I reckon the Orange will come out on top on the cost surprised wnage ratio. whee

I tried out an Orange 15 watt and it sounded quite excellent. No annoying a** hum or anything. Just a nice clean and simple amp. 3nodding

Personally I'm going to be purchasing an Epiphone Valve Special amp asap - cant beat that tube vibe for 200 smackaroos! (I'd grab the Valve Junior but theres no separate volume/gain knobs.)
