I've just finished giving my Squire a new paint job and am letting it dry now, the pics r lowsy but u"ll get the general idea







i think i tallyed a grand total of 21$ for 4 cans of paint and 3 sheets of 800 grit sandpaper

the paint was 3 cans of Valspar, one "Lawn Green" one Gloss black and one gloss clear, and one coat of Krylon Fusion "Nickel Shimmer" paint for plastic, one trip to Lowes, walmart and Auto zone for the sandpaper and bam, new paint job.

I was going for a green sunburst kinda look and im not sure how its turned out entirely because when the clear coat drys and sets im going to wax the crap out of it then c how it looks.

the headstock is also green-bursted it just dosn't show in the picture

i pieced it together for a min to c wat it looked like together and well.... DAAAAM!!! SHE'S PRETTY



the most annoying part about painting, is waiting for it to dry, i painted it today, and i am DIEEEIIIING to put it back together, and resist all temptation to piece it together when and if u paint one of urs because i put a nice little c***k in the paint on the headstock when i did and im so freakin pissed off at myself about it.

OK i got it back together for final asemble and have to wait till tomorrow to pick up some strings BUT hears a before and after for u guys

I was also Vaughn crazy at the time (2005 ish)


when i was 14ish i was curious as to how guitars worked so i ripped it apart, and made a wireing diagram on scratch paper b4 i pulled anything, when i put it back together i added a zebra stripe style to the pickgaurd with my model paint and a black trim line to the headstock (didnt turn out well)

after a while the pickups gave out and it sat for a few months nothing but a noiseless shell, untill my uncle who runs a sound studio /repair shop came across some anchient EMG SA pickups in one of his closets i had mentioned to him i like emg's and that my strat needed redoing so he gave them to me as a christmas/birthday present, and i wired them up, this is about the same time i got my Ibanez RG 570 so last christams-ish

Recently ive been feeling adventureus so i decided it needed to be refinished. Havent painted much in my life but i knew if i was gonna make it look right it had to be spray paint so i bought a few cans and set to work useing techniques i had seen on tv and internet on how to make a sunburst and a bit of beginers luck with some automotive wax to clean it up and u have this:
