It has been suggested that we should have a Clan Poetry/Writing Contest.
Here's your chance to have some input on rules and ideas for the contest.
(You can also use this thread to do some creative writing and experimentation. )

You try to draw your username/name as artisticly as possible...? i.e. block letters etc. xD It could be interesting... Art contest with a twist~! (Sorry if this is confusing!) Or maybe a poetry contest? plasmafire Hmm a clan poetry/writing contest... I suppose that could be arranged. Ingou  A poetry/writing contest would be interesting, but it would have to be somewhat limited, I would think, like to a certain subject matter or to a certain form (Haiku, sonnet, ballad, short story, etc.) da_simple1 it would be wrong to tell us what or how to write, as long as its poetry. all of us have different styles and different imaginations. diversity is what would make it challenging and interesting. plasmafire The only thing I would probably limit is length, don't want anything submitted that is too big, and of course no stealing works done by other people. queen-of-the-animated Could you let it be at least 8 or 10 paragraphs. I like to write story poems and it would be hard to make a short story poem with a beginning, a middle and end end in only 1 or 2 paragraphs.

What I kind of meant by limiting the contest would be like by having a certain theme to write about or the form of the writing because it would be a bit hard to pick the ones we like best if they are considered to be many different genres. If there is a similar theme or writing form at least it would help in picking what we'd like?

I like the poem contest idea! I think it would be interesting! I suggest, since we are a zOMG! clan, that we write about the game! To be honest, I say this because I have already written a story/poem about zOMG! Lol! There are many different areas and lots of different monsters we could write about, not to mention any of the 40 different rings and tons of NPC's that could be included!

Hmmm, having a theme does make it easier to judge and to get inspired. I like the zOMG/Gaia suggested theme.

I think this is a cool idea. I like the Zomg idea too, but I have read Gothichearts poem and trust me when I say, itll be hard to beat. Shes an awesome poet.

Well, we coule always do two categories or themes per contest, like one zOMG related and other with a general topic or form.
An example might be to have people write about... Kat's Kokeshi Doll for one section and fear as the general topic?

I'm not sure if I worded that right o.o; I agree with this..we should have a certain theme on the writing because than it could be possible to vote..maybe 3diffrent writing contests at once..all different genres so people can enter the one they want..and we can fairly vote!! xD
