Recently I decided to try and write a haiku (5-7-5) and I though it was fun so I wrote a few more. And now I decided to make a thread so me and others can post haiku xd

Here's one of mine:

Snowflakes are falling
Covering the earth in white
A blanket of cold

I like it, but haiku is suposed to have a certain pattern of syllables...I supose I should have said it earlier sweatdrop
Your first line should have 5 syllables
the second line 7
and the last 5

There are other forms of haiku, but this one is the basic one...

haikous aren't really my thing, but i did write a few that are part of a series
i titled it "The Christian Haikous"

The Earth is mortal
Having beginning and end
A birth and a death

So shall men, too, die
But the soul is forever
And will then live on

The spirit lives on
Having not a beginning
And shall never end

personally, i don't like poems that have specific rules like sonnets or haikous
if anyone would like to look at some of the other poems i've written, just look me up in the art arena for poetry/ lyrics =D
