Santos moved through the thick trees, very aware of his wanderings on this day. He was headed towards the garden in which he'd met Charlie, very intent on finding her there.
He had to admit that he was very curious about this surprise she had for him. He had doubted she'd even thought of him since they'd met. Obviously he'd been slightly wrong. But that was okay,, because he had thought about her too. He'd chewed over her words in his head, considering the new perspective she'd opened up for him.
Not to mention she was intriguing to her. So much like his mother, and yet such a separate and unique being. Obviously she had surprising depths she was willing to share, and it was a deep friendship and connection he was craving. It almost felt like he absolutely needed it. In some ways, he did. He'd lived far too long with far too few friends.

Santos had been on her mind, enough for her to tell her dearest friend in the world, Balthazar about him. To which, they'd fought of course, he didnt see the need for some unknown stallion, to come around her, the big brother complex Balthazar held for her, made her want to be drown him some days.
Tail curled at her side as she sat at her garden, she'd just finished watering her roses, as well as the small bundle beside them. When her crimson roses had sprouted another, smaller bush, she had made quick work to uproot it, and swaddle the roots in cloth so they'd not die.
She was going to help Santos grow his own roses.

Santos was relieved to see Charlie when he arrived to the garden. He smiled brightly at her, nodding his head. "I said I'd come back, and here I am." He held out his arms in an 'I'm here!' gesture and grinned.
He took a few more steps towards her, and looked around the garden. "Everything looks just as beautiful as the other day, if not more." It was like an overwhelmingly good feeling, seeing so many beautiful roses. It was comfortable. Like a home he never really had.
He furrowed his brows in slight confusion as he noticed the bundle. "That wasn't there before."

She turned at the sound of someone beind her, and let out a laugh at the sight before her. "You had indeed, and look! Your here!" She smiled as she gracefully rose to her hooves now.
"Thank you Santos, I do work hard for them. Its a labor of love though.." she smiled softly, a pale blush tainting her cheeks as she bends forward to pick up the small bundle of growing bush and its roots.
"Nothing can get past you now can it.?" She smirked a bit. "Its a gift for you. Something I think you'll like very much." She offered the wet cloth to him, "These are the roots, and small young, still growing bush from the crimson roses. I thought, I could teach you how to raise it."
