The large metal doors slammed open loudly and a tall girl about the age of twenty stormed in. "Stupid stupid stupid" he ranted on and on under her breath. Standing up in the front of the class her brown eyes gazed at all of her students. Sighing quietly to herself, never really helped. the girl flicked her wand and chalk started to write her name on the chalk board. "Good Evening, class" she said. "I am Ash Akira, you potions teacher"
Her hair went down to her shoulders and she wore her black robe over her white shirt. She was also wearing red skinny jeans and skull shoes, tie, and a hat.
The potions classroom smelled differently due to the concoctions that burgled and boiled as well as sizzled in the classroom.

Sitting in the front row, Lyra was rather startled by Professor Akira's angry entrance. I guess she won't be like the other teachers. Ah, well. She pulled from her bookbag Advanced Potion-Making in the 21st Century and waited for the teacher to give further instruction.

Ash looked around and then flicked her wand once more and the chalk board erased itself. "Now just because most of you are new here at hogwarts doesn't mean to get it easy in my class. All students are treated the same, regardless on how well they are at making potions. If you believe that you have a way to get an easy passing score in this class; I suggest you drop out of hogwarts. If you want to be an auror you need to be good at potions, so I am training you."
then she looked at the chalk board at the corner of her eye. Seeing that it was writing down basic information of what she had just said.
"You will be assigned homework in my class, and you will finish it unless you want to lose house points." Akira continued. Her brown eyes narrowing. "Homework is turned in every two days or three. When we have a test, I expect you study. Homework is worth ten house points and tests are worth fifty. So I expect that you all will PAY ATTENTION." she said harshly.
"Slackers will get no respect here, if I catch you cheating, you go the headmaster. Or better yet, I will place your hand in liquid death." she growled. remembering what had irritated her so badly this morning. "Now, open your books to page eleven, I want you to make a Forgetfulness Potion. If you don't have Magical Drafts and Potions volume 1 you may use one that is on my desk." then she paused and added, "Homework will be half a parchment on the forgetfulness potion. Homework is due within three days. I want to know where the potion comes from, what it does, how to make it, side effects; and anything else you can dig up. Don't plagiarize anything, it has to be in your own words or i will deduct house points, and trust me, they can go into negatives."
Akira flipped her hair with her hand and then sighed; the chalk finished writing the instructions for todays lesson.
(The Chalk Board Reads:
Magical Drafts and Potions VOLUME 1 page 11
Forgetfulness Potion - Will make a person forget something important or a secret the person was told.
Once potion is made: To see if this potion is correctly made, use a small flask and fill it up with the potion. It is is thick, muggy, red, and occasionally turns blue. The potion is correct. If it is thin, slimy, not red / blue, or anything else. The potion was made incorrectly and is a potion that produces fungus. Dispose of this potion or fill some flasks.)
"If you have any questions feel free to ask" Ash sighed and closed her eyes to try and calm herself down. She re-opened her eyes and took a seat at her desk and pulled out her quill and a small jar of ink. She began to write down some important things she needed to get done.

Zoey gulped and was slightly taken back at how the teacher acted. Yikes she thought as she opened her textbook and looked over everything she would need. Then she went over to the supply closet and took out what they needed over at the 4th year groups, for all the houses and passed them out. Everyone, except the Slytherns who sneered, thanked her and got to work. Then Zoey sat down and got to work herself. She smiled as she got further and further ahead of the others. I'm still good she smiled slyly to herself.

Ash continued to work on the work she had to get done. It was easy but yet it annoyed her. This stupid paperwork. Why don't we just make the kids do it? she growled in her mind.
yes, no, yes, yes, no...What is the whole point of this? The headmaster already knows everything about me, god. Ash thought and then grabbed another piece of parchment and looked at the questions that was on another, and started answering them on the new piece of parchment.
Noticing that some of her students had gotten farther with the lesson, she flicked her wand and the chalk board started writing swiftly and new directions were up on the board:
When potion is done fill up a flask and bring it to me for testing.

Lyra grimaced as she took a look at Zoey's potion She's at least one or two steps ahead of me. She quickly compared Zoey's potion to hers as she added the dried and crushed Forget-Me-Not flowers. It looks like my potion has a better consistancy, but both our potions are the right colors. She's fast... Lyra turned right back to her own potion and adjusted the heat slightly, glacing at her Potions teacher. Wonder what's up with Professor Akira. Gah! She scolded herself. Must focus!

Why did I need to take potions... Yuuichi thought to himself. He looked at the brownish-black liquid in his cauldron. What did I do wrong? He tried to remember the things he did and compared it with what the book said, but was unable to think of something.
Yuuichi glanced at the potions others around him made. Those looked different. He then looked at the teacher. He just had the worst luck, ruining his potion like this on his first day and while the professor's in a bad mood. Ah whatever, maybe it'll end up as it's supposed to be, if I just continue. If not, too bad.

"Yes!" Zoey cried as she swirled some of her potion around in a flask up to the light. It, and the rest in her cauldron, were exactly the thickness and mugginess, and was a nice red color that matched her own hair. The potion started to fade to blue and back again to red. Zoey put a stopper on it and labled it, then nodding to Lilla and Yuuichi, she made her way up to the front and placed her bottled potion promptly on the desk. Her expression was of modesty content and a tad bit sleepy.

Ash stopped writing and looked up from her paperwork. Already finished... she thought to herself. Taking the potion out of Zoey's hand she looked at it and opened the flask. It smelled a bit like wild cherry, smiling she put the lid back on and set it on her desk. "Perfect potion. I believe that rewarding you with a homework pass is in order." she smiled. "You can use it on any assignment." she took out a small piece of parchment from a drawer and handed it to zoey. "Don't lose it" she said sternly, and then went back to working on her paperwork.

"Thanks you Professor," Zoey said politely as she took the slip and went back to her desk sat with the others. Sitting down, she looked over at how Yuuichi wasn't doing so hot. She leans over next to him, and whispers, "Need some help?" her tone was pleasant and she had a slightly mischievous look to her.

Lyra heaved a sigh of relief as she poured the thick, deep red potion into a glass flask. She walked up to the Professor's desk and set it down. Zoe finished hers more quickly, but hurrying could also increase chances of making a mistake... Lyra had decided to take her time. She waited anxiously for Professor Akira's response.

Arika sighed yet another. I really need to get all of this work done before I start teaching. she sighed in her mind. Looking back up from her work she took the flask from Lyra and looked at it. She held it up and examined the consistency. "It's good but not perfect" she replied and set the flask down on her desk next to Zoey's. "You needed to stir a bit more, to make it a bit less thick."
