He let out a sigh, his eyes closing as a soft spring of tears came to his eyes, "I have failed another before, for the longest time I refused to do it again.. that's why I came out here to live.. I didn't expect to find you."

Running her paws over his mane in a petting like manner, she quickly and gently bestows a kiss upon his muzzle. "We only live but once. No one can redo the past, but why live in fear from there after?"

Jaronoth's eyes turned toward her and he watched her for a long moment. Closing his eyes, he knelt down and nuzzled her cheek. "I don't want to lose you the way I lost her."

He gave a short laugh, "Perhaps not, maybe I'm worrying too much." Glancing her in the eyes, he gave her a quick kiss. "For now... let us find some food." He shot her a smirk before bounding out down a mountain path into a valley.
