*Cries* I got sick right before we went on. Almost passed out and was dizzy up until halftime. It was an away game. I didn't get to march, and i cried a bit as I watched them go on the field without me. Needless to say, next time, if I pass out I pass out. I do not want to watch them go onto the field and play. It really felt like I was abandoning them and letting everyone down.

One of our freshman made it worse. She yelled at me. "Don't ever leave me again! I didn't know where I kept looking for you, and you weren't there!"
And yeah, I have a feeling she wasn't watching the DMs.

i also felt like it was my fault when the woodwinds played a cool part in our closer(we did opener with drill and stood still in a set for our closer, then the anthem.) and you could barely hear te woodwinds, let alone the clarinets. True, they were turned away, but I still should have been able to hear them.

It didn't go horribly... But It could've gone better...
The trombones have a follow the leader move that is like

|^------->
|<--------
50

and yeah... trombones did fine getting around to the back,
but all the saxophones were drifting back in the front line ( and they we on the home hash ) so we beat the ******** out of the back of their heads biggrin ( My section leader was taking an angle back to stop from hitting them but they were drifting back further and further so his inner slide broke off :[ ... good thing it was his peashooter and not his pretty tenor or the school's tenor )

The other team's fans seemed to like it though :]
We performed our first movement, marched most of the 2nd, but played all the way through... They were screaming as soon as we started our taps off...
Made me happy xD ( until I stepped in a giant mud pit on the edge of the field )

I forgot to say about the only good thing that happened:

So at halftime we went to the opposing stands to watch their show, and after they played we mingled and made friends with random people. I was extremely hyper. Apparently, I should not sit out instead of marching. I almost exploded. But, the cool part was my 8th grade student band teacher was one of the directors(they had 1 and 1-2 co-directors. Like, they were all teachers and payed. I don't know how that works) so I got to see her again(we all loved her while she was there, and were sad when she left) and then I saw my friend from 8th grade, who is a year younger then me. He was teh one who made me cry on the last day of eighth grade.

We rode the bus together, and I was doing perfectly fine leaving all my friends. I was going from a school across town in a special program where some schools allow students to come from all over town with free transportation to school to my neighborhood school. I knew only one of my friends was going to be there, and I would probably never see most of them again. Well, while I was getting on the bus he just had to say "I'll never forget you!" It made me cry.

But I saw him again! I was so happy! We spent the whole time catching up and going over old memories.

Our first performance (home game) is tomorrow and we are so ready cause yesterday's pratice was KICK @$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got all of pregame (drill and music), and 3 out of 4 songs in our show/competition performance (drill and music) and that's just all in little over a month. Our band director was so happy he had to censor himself. It was so cool! We are gonna blow everyone's minds away tomorrow and make them forget there ever was a football game going on!!!!!! m/(>.<)m/
